There isn't many places around here for old video games. I go to 3 different pawn shops, 1 thrift store, and Garage Sales in the summer. We did just get an EB Games, but I never go in there because I only get disappointed when I see a NES game I need for $20-40 dollars. :-(

I mainly go to pawn shops and EB, but I'll hit the occasional thrift when I have the time (which is none, as of late :().

New games - Best Buy, EB, or Gamestop. When I'm interested in a pre-order bonus, then I usually order from gamestop.com. Unlike ebgames.com, gamestop.com does not charge tax, so that is a plus for ordering online. EB has alot of promotions for new and used games, and Best Buy has their Rewards program.
Used games - EB, Gamestop, or a local favorite used cd/dvd/game store.

old games - gamers (the local game shop), goodwill
newer games - BLOCKBUSTER holy crap i can't stress enough about how much bb rocks. used games that go for way cheaper than i have ever seen at any eb's or the local game shops, plus they have this running deal (was supposed to end sometime in the summer, but it has been going on for awhile now), buy 1 used, get 1 50% off.

GameStop. There's pretty much nothing else but GS in my area.
