I have a Dance pad Revolution and the backstep does not work. Is there any way i could fix it or is it junk?

I'm not sure how a dance pad closes a circuit. But it could be a problem with the circuit closing or one of the wires running from the down pad to the system could be broken, you'd more than likey have to strip the whole pad apart.

That doesnt sound very good. I'll probably junk it and buy a new one. Thank you for your input!
