The prospect of ClubNinja and the good folks here working on an arcade rarity list gave me a neat idea. As Digital Press appears to be nearing a time when all games created will have their place here, it seems we should bring back one of the standbys - the "How many of X do you own?" question. Thus, the question:

How many of the Roundtablers own arcade cabinets? Pinballs too!

Let's see if we can try to come up with a grand total of arcade games we own. If possible, please give us the name of the game, as well. I see no reason why we shouldn't count known working loose PCBs or "currently being repaired" systems - if it can play a game then it should count (use your own discretion). However, please limit yourself to listing machines which require some form of payment (money, token, credit card, wooden nickel...) and do not count free demonstration units or empty cabinets. Systems and cabinets which take interchangeable cartridges are not counted in the totals, but are listed. I try to count cartridges/game boards as seperate games - i.e. if you've got an MVS cart, that's one game, but an MVS is zero games (it's not much good without a game, no?) and if you've modified a cabinet to hold two games, I'll list both games. Of course feel free to argue about this definition or correct me!

To make things easy on me, please look at the format I've set up and try to follow that (I'll fix it otherwise, though), and if you want to add new games please include them in a new post. I can't follow edits!

There will be "awards," or special recognition to those who have distinguished themselves somehow or other, and I'll have to see about making some sort of badge for those who've contributed to use at the end of all this.

Are we some BAD ENOUGH DUDES/DUDETTES? Let's see how this organization fares! Zap your capacitors and grease those coin doors...this here's the real thing.

Last entry for the moment - I'm gonna have to take a break before I do these others! :O

If anybody wants to make up another "Award," please suggest one.

Also, if you've got cartridges or ROM boards, I can't add them to your total unless you tell me what they are! Feel free to list MVS and PlayChoice-10 style cabs, but list the games seperately if you do.

Oh, yeah, one last thing.

See that format I've got going? It takes a long time to do. If you've got time to list your cabinets, PLEASE put it in that format! My time is valuable, too! http://www.digitpress.com/forum/images/smiles/Llol.gif

Are we counting MAME cabinets? If so, I forgot to add mine.

Can I nominate myself for the most blashphemous cabinet? It's a tie between my MAME cabinet (in a Donkey Kong Jr. cab) and my World Series Baseball game (in a Robotron cabinet with a Joust bezel).

Phosphor Dot Fossils

- Raster display arcade machines
Kick (aka Kickman); Midway 1981 [1x dedicated] Phosphor Dot Fossils

For what it's worth, this is one of the original 1500 Kick machines before Midway changed the name to Kickman. It has the revision Kick PCB that adds Pac-Man to the game, but not the second revision which displays the name "Kickman" instead of "Kick" on the screen.

http://www.thelogbook.com/earl/hizzouse/thumb-8/kickfull.jpg
Ain't nothin' like the real thing, baby.

The only thing not original on this machine is the door on the back of the machine.

Sadly, she's due for a monitor replacement - something strange has come up which makes the game just about unplayable at the moment. Other than that though, the machine is in excellent shape.

OK, I'm up to Videogamerdaryll's "PCB's I'm getting rid of" section. Wow...I've worked on this for about three hours straight O_O

That means...it's time for me to pack it in for the evening.

If you've already sold a game, I can't list it!

Plus, it REALLY REALLY helps when you put stuff in the right format! Saves a ton of time. I don't mind looking stuff up, but when I have to do it for thirty items in a row that eats up a LOT of time.
