I brought and played the game and it'z really cool. Too bad they are missing a lot of people like Lita, Torrie Wilson, Gale Kim, Ultimo Dragon, Goldberg, Brock Lesner, and others. So far, I got almost every wrestling game for N64 and Gamecube. I think the Create A Wrestler is better on Wrestlemania XIX though. For some reason, No Mercy is still one of the best wrestling games out there. :D

Can you still only have 4 wrestlers at a time in the ring?

Yes you can. Thankfully. :D

How does the gameplay compare to No Mercy? I played the other GC wrestling titles, but the AKI developed titles for the N64 are still way better. I read that Day of Reckoning was going to be more like No Mercy, but they also said that about the last GC game (I already forget the name of it; was it Wrestlemania XIX?).

If the gameplay still sucks, then I'll be skipping Day of Reckoning.

The gameplay is alright, in my opinion. It doesn't have as much front and back grapples as in No Mercy (which is on 3 less in Day of Reckoning), but the striking while grappling makes up for it. If you played Wrestlemania XIX, the grappling system is almost the same as in Day of Reckoning, but improved a little. Also, the cool thing is that when someone is on at the very top of the ladder, you can hit the ladder to make it tilt and make the person fall (just like in No Mercy). The thing they don't have is that during a cage much, you can't slam the person's face against the cage. Maybe they have it, and if they do, I don't know how to do it. Also, I don't know if there's any back stages, because I haven't tried to thru someone backstage.

jerkov, have you played Wrestlemania XIX?

Yeah, I've played Wrestlemania XIX. Tried to get into it a couple times, but didn't think it was nearly as good as any of the N64 AKI-developed titles. To this day, I am still pissed off that THQ decided to hand off all development to the inferior company (Yuke's) after the death of the N64. I wish AKI would make another awesome wrestling game with fictional characters (like the ones found in the WCW games that they made) - not another Def Jam Vendetta, just another awesome wrestling game with the battle royal modes, create-a-character, special matches, story mode, etc.

I don't know, Yukes did some good work with the last couple Smackdowns...HCTP is probably one of the best wrestling games to come out in a while, it's only major flaw being a lack of CAW space. The new one looks like it'll alleviate that problem with 2 memory card support.

Any wrestling game where I can just make a bunch of my own guys and play those, and the game doesn't suck, that's all I ask.

Unlike all the Smackdown games, including Hear Comes the Pain, the created characters have no teeth, which lookz horrible. In Day of Reckoning, the character do speak and open their mouth, and thankfully they have teeth. LOL Currently I'm playing the story mode on Day of Reckoning and it'z cool. :D

They have teeth in HCTP...they're just limited to top front teeth, but they're there.

I'm just glad they don't have the goofy red mouths that they did in SYM.

They do? To be honest I never made a created character in Here Comes the Pain because I thought it was going to be the same as in Shut Your Mouth. In Shut Your Mouth, when the created characters open their mouth, they remind me of some of the old people that don't have any teeth. LOL

Sorry for the double post. Has anyone found any CAW for original characters? Thankz

Anyone know if Eugene, Rene Dupree and La Resistance are in the game off hand?

Nah. They are not in the game. I'm a little bit disappointed that a lot of superstars are missing, but they happen to have the non-important superstars such as The Basham Brothers, Garrison Cade, and Mark Jindrak. :o
