Joe or anybody in the know...

how do you determine a fair value for such an "unauthorized" version (of Galaga)? I ask since the online rarity guide lists it as R0 and thus $0

Thanks.

same one from that guy who was selling all the reproduction nes he got his hands on. I bought one from that guy for 29.99 and then spilled water all over the inkjet printed label. Looked like shit. So i got rid of it on ebay a few months ago....this time for 49.xx some people are nuts.

$41.00?

Fuck.

Even I would have picked it up for that much.

Heh, I have one of those. Got it from nes-god a while back for $20. Haven't played it yet and I doubt I will.

Someday that game is going to be worth a lot of money.

I would have to disagree with you. Sure there was a very limited run, but that really doesn't mean much with this particular cartridge.

The majority of the NES collectors that I have talked to do not recognize the Sachen carts as American cartridges, despite the fact that they are listed as so in the DP guide. They (and I) all agree that it was a poor choice for these cartridges to be listed in the American section of the guide, just because of two or so cases where these games were found in the US of A. Adding 64 games to an American list because of that seems rather poor judgement.

Anyway, back to the point. Getting Sachen to produce ten or so of these games, upon request, makes them more of a homebrewn sort in my book. Inkjet labels and everything. Due to this AND the fact that many collectors do not recognize the Sachens as a part of a complete US NTSC collection, makes me think that these games won't be worth too much more than they are now, in future years.

nesgod was pretty cool when I bought a bunch of sachen stuff from him last time. I wonder what he would do for a fellow DPer on this one ;)
