Jus tplayed this for the PC at my aunt's hous elast night and loved it. She gave me an extra copy of the PC verison, but doesn't work on my system (3D card not good enough), so may buy the PS2 version instead. Anyone have recommendations or advice?

Both of them are incredibly short. You'll be throgh the first game in like 8 hours and the second one will fall in a similar manner. Ive got the first one for PS2 (which allows for saving at the beginning of a level). If you can, try to get the XBox ones, as you can save anywhere, which makes parts of the games easier. Otherwise buy em used because theres no reason to pay 20 apiece for them new.

Do NOT buy the PS2 versions of Max Payne or MP2. I haven't tried them, but I hear they're bloody terrible. Check out some reviews to see what I'm talking about. But DO try to play both of the games, as they are quite excellent. :)

Truly great games love the story. Id just get a new vid card, specially if yours cant handle Max Payne. With the increased controll of a mouse and keyboard it makes the experiance so much better.

Even an mx440 can handle the first Max Payne, and they can be had pretty cheap. Heck i finished it with an mx400 and a celeron 500. It is short, but its one heck of a ride ;)

Yeah, the PS2 versions are terrible. From the framerates to the load times, they just flat out suck. Either upgrade the PC or seek out the XBox versions which don't have these problems.

I don't have an X-Box so that's out the question and I don't have the cash for like a VooDoo3 or higher. Most I've seen MP for PS2 for was $4-5.

I didn't notice any framerate problems with my PS2 version. The load times are somewhat bad compared to the PC/Xbox versions. And all of you Xbox owners have it easy with the save feature. Don't you want a challenge?
