What? She's at the beach. It's probably hot. She needs to cool down. Nothing wrong with that. (Thank you so much a-for to squirting you boobs.)

I think she's just trying to get the "paint-like goo" off of her. See the "M" on her thigh? Yeah. That's what I mean.

I can think of a better direction they could have taken this.

The only problem I can see is that girl must be freakisly huge to be able to hold mario like that. Or mario is just a lot tinier that we thought.. LOL

Looks to me like the Gamecube would be doing alot better in the US if they ran that ad here in the states. We don't have nearly enough sexy Asian babes in any of our ads. But the water isn't squirting out of the right part of Mario. LOL

The writing on the first:
"Teach me... your Famicom".

Maybe Farfel just doesn't like women. ;)

I like that ad, but still doesn't top the new "Pikmin" commercial. That one rocks. I still want to see the Siren commercial that got banned (can't remember where) for being too scary.

LOL ROFL I never had the desire to play Mario Sunshine.

The only ad i ever found "wrong" was that old "Legend of Zelda/Zelda rap" commercial. Someone went to extreme lengths to make that kid supreme king dork.

The glasses, the braces, the way he talked, the way he dressed....talk about overkill.

From the 1990s, far too many to pick just a few. Two mid-1990s video gaming magazines I have have well over a dozen. Or two...

Alright. That's enough.

Two pages and *still* no mention of the Earthbound ad that nearly made me vomit on my brand new Game Player's magazine.

What gives?

I vividly remember tolerating the first flap of that ad.. it wasn't too terrible. I very barely tolerated the second one, and I remember throwing the magazine across the floor on the third one because I did indeed feel as if I needed to vomit.

Quite possibly the worst ad in gaming history, and I would be willing to say that it even perhaps turned me off from considering a purchase or even a rental of Earthbound back then.

Earthbound? Ha? WHat was so disgusting about their ads...I remember them being pretty tame save for the scratch and sniff stickers...

That's the one I was talking about! ;)

I think I ended up tearing it out of the magazine. I really can't understand the concept of that ad whatsoever, and I'm trying to figure it out from a design/marketing standpoint.

I mean really. The point of an advertisement is to try and attract you to the product to the point of you purchasing that product. I cannot fathom the time that someone said "hey, let's put some absolutely disgusting smells that will burn the inside of your nose into this ad for our video game, so that when people take a whiff of them, they'll associate that absolutely rotten stench with our product." Makes no sense whatsoever.

LOL

It's Italian from the opening of Mario 64.
