Anyway, I got the airflo as a present a month or 2 back. I thought it would be cool.

I thought wrong.

First of all, when you design a cool idea for a controller, you have to have controller part actully work!!! You have to hold the joystick part PERFECTLY straight to go in a straight line. If you move it a slight little bit to the left or right, then you'll go diagnol in the game!!!

WHAT THE HELL??? They spent soo much time on the air part, that the controller itself is complete crap.

And the air part, dont even get me started on that!!! Most of the air escapes through the back intake hole. The remainder of the air of the air that gets through, is too cold. youll find yourself shutting it off in about 1 minute. I only use this controller on 4 way directional playstation games.

This controller sucks.

Has anybody else gotten this problem with this peice of shit? Dont waste your money.

I demo'ed one at Software Etc. more as a curiousity. I've seen plenty of the gimmick controllers before (power glove.. ahm..) I thought it was lame just because the lack of the rumble function.. As for air flow.. don't need it, i don't have sweaty hands.

Few gimmicks actually work for serious, long-term gaming. I don't think I saw a good one - a REALLY good one - in action until I tried the WaveBird.

Ditto on the Wavebirds. And as for th air flow, you could always wear gloves to keep sweating hands from slipping around. nd a pair of glove goes about $30 less than any Airflo controller.

I doubt I'll get one until long after it ends up in clearance bin just to have another controller curiousity in my big pile 'o controllers.

Wow. I love my Airflo for the PS2. I agree the D-pad sucks ass, but other than that, it's basically a standard Sony controller. Great for FPS and the like, but agreed that trying to play Capcom vs. SNK with it is slightly impossible.

I don't know about that... the Amiga Powrstick from twenty years ago had its own gimmick, small size, and that was better than the vast majority of joysticks available at that time. The ultimate 2600/Coleco joystick, the Sega Arcade Pad (originally designed for the Genesis), was still a decade away, so until that time, the tiny Powrstick was the controller of choice for me.

"Gimme my flobee, uhheerraannnhhh"

The flowbee was a device you could hook up to a vacuum cleaner and it would literally suck and cut, just like the one from Wayne's World.
