It was made by Gamester, called an e-**something** and I have one CIB at home. The spaceship looking piece is used as a directional control, by tilting your hand. It doesn't read as a dual shock, so it would be better for PSOne,PSX games.

If you can wait a day I'll dig it out and scan the manual for you.

Talk about happy! :D

Yesterday I picked up Street Fighter Anniversary Collection (PS2) from Gamestop for $16 and some change after my Gamestop card, a coupon, and trading in some strategy guides.

Then, I went into EB and someone had just turned in a mint complete copy of Street Fighter III: Third Strike for Dreamcast. They wanted $34.99 which wasn't unreasonable. This morning, I went when they opened, traded in 10 CDs I have acquired from yard sales over the past few months, and got it for $13.69 after the GMR card. Third Strike is also the first DC game I've been able to find that I don't already own in over 6 months.

I also got strategy guides for Virtua Fighter 4 and Morrowind for 99 cents each at GameCrazy, too.

I only found one thing today, a loose Virtua Racing for the Genesis for $3 at a pawn shop.

On another not, at the same pawn shop, they had some outrageously priced games. I know pawn shops aren't the best place to buy games, but this was just stupid (in my opinion).

The first thing I saw was Arkanoid for the NES. Cart only, nothing else. They had a sticker on it ON THE LABEL that said "rare" and another that said "$15".

Then, I saw Harvest Moon 64, cart only. The label was VERY worn, and had green marker all over it. Again, on the label, "RARE" "IMPOSSIBLE TO FIND" "$50". @_@ @_@ @_@

What in the hell???

2 - £1 each - anyone know wtf this is?

Follow Up.. the Funky two part controller is a Gamester evolution... and there is just about nothing online for this.. So I'll snap some photos of the unit in the box and scan the manual in the morning which means I break the seal on mine.. The monumental sacrifices for history  ...

If anyone is interested I know where I can get a number of these MIB in the USA... I'll be happy to pass along the info...

eBay win arrived:

Pokemon Snap (N64) - cart. only, NTSC-U version, $8.00

Interesting sticker on the back too:

"For use in
Nintendo 64 NTSC Interactive Only

This game remains the property of Nintendo Australia Pty Ltd

NOT FOR RESALE"

I think I'll leave that sticker on there. :D

My guess is that this cart is an ex-display copy used in N64 in-store kiosks here in Australia.

Well, it's not really a guess - but a fact.

Now I'm, rambling!

I spent waaay too much money on this so I'm going to upgrade it from a "find" to a "recent acquisition". The more expensive, the more multisyllabic.

I got this stuff in a mess of a box from ebay on Tuesday.

This is Game Pack #2 for the Odyssey. It's kinda rare. The shipping carton is kinda rare, too.

link (http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-9/829368/1973OddGamesBox.jpg)

This is the four 1973 games laid out.

link (http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-9/829368/1973OdysseyGames.jpg)

Then I got this stuff today, along with the carrying case.

link (http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-9/829368/OdysseyComplete053(2).jpg)

This is a picture of a nearly complete Odyssey collection.

link (http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-9/829368/OdysseyComplete056(2).jpg)

I'm missing:

the original box for the RF Switchbox
the original shipping carton for Percepts (not really looking for this, but if I'm going to say "hey I have the original roll of tape!" I should include it as what I'm missing.)
10 Tought Tiles from Brain Wave (1 green Decision Point, 3 Green Logic, 4 Blue Logic and 2 Blue Mind Benders)

I'm also missing about $1600 and most of my common sense.

Not a find (because I didn't buy anything. It's just a story) but I was talking to a friend today, and asking if he would sell any of his NES stuff. His reply: "No way! That shit is hot!" (well, if he appreciates it, I say good for him.)
Then I asked him if he had any other old stuff that he'd sell and he replied: "I've got one of those, whatcha call em...Intellivisions!" And I was like X_x
he proceded to say that it was his dad's, and even with my saying how I'd wanted one, he wouldn't think about selling it because "That shit is hot!"

Since classic gaming/collecting is almost unheard of in my area, it was a surprised to find someone else enjoying older games, even if they didn't look at them in the way I did. Meh, more power to him.

Well after getting off of classes today around 8:45 I decided to head out to Tucson. Haven't yet run into Halbert ;D

My buys:

Genesis - Hellfire (complete) - 5
Genesis - Awesome Possum (complete) - 6
Genesis - Task Force Harrier (complete) - 5
Saturn - Resident Evil (complete) - 10

Metro Gnome Music

I knew this little music store was out there but not exactly where...I stopped in at a superpawn and noticed it right across the street. Kick ass store with TONS of games.

Genesis - Marko (complete) - 1.50
Genesis - Joe & Mac (complete) - 8
Genesis - Fatal Rewind (loose) - 3...got the box/manual of course ;D

Bookman's @ Speedway

Intellivision - Snafu (boxed) - 1
Intellivision - Venture (boxed) - 1

Then I saw:

Odyssey 2 CIB - 10.

The box was in pretty nice condition and the system/controllers looked great, had the manual and even the foam packing. So I grabbed it.

Then in the mail:

TG16 - Alien Crush (complete)
TG16 - Victory Run (complete)

Phew....one heck of a day. Can't wait for my ebay lots to arrive ;D. Think I'm gonna go play Resident Evil since I've never played the original.

Nice. I still remember seeing that, but i was sure it would go for more (even though ntsc-j games usually do sell for less than domestic releases). Almost makes me want to go out and buy a mega cd.

Anyway, i went to see the Dodgeball movie today with a friend, followed by the obligitory Video Games Heaven visit where i scored:

Primal Rage (no manual)

Yesterday I bought:

http://www.altpop.com/stc/pics-large/ctosv.jpg

I've been meaning to get the Chrono Trigger OSV for a LONG time, but it's so common as far as soundtracks go, that I've been waiting for a good price. When I found someone selling this one for $24, I couldn't pass it up any longer. I know it's going to be reprinted soon in about a month, but even for the reprint the MSRP is around 3800 yen. o_O Granted, the one I bought is used, but it's in mint condition and probably has the spine card.

So yeah... I'm happy to add this one to the collection. :) That's one more to check off my mental list of soundtracks I need to buy. I almost have all the ones I really want now. :)

I just did some work at my parents' video store. I took $10 out of my pay and got

NES:
Track & Field II-loose
Duck Hunt-loose

Sega Master System:
Great Baseball-complete
Reggie Jackson Baseball-box, no manual

Strange thing really. As far as I know, I've never seen a real life SMS game/cart with my own two eyes O_O
I guess they never really caught on here in NY. So, when I saw them, I decided I needed to get them.
