Is it possible to use av cables to hook a NES up properly instead of using the dreaded rf switch?

sure if your talking about the toaster style grey box nes use the av jacks on the side and turn your tv to the av channel

My blink prone front loader has AV outs too! One RCA audio and one yellow RCA video. Works great!

I got it hooked up after fiddling with the AV cords (which a friend gave me after finding them on the side of the street) and having to switch around my tv setup a bit. Kind amade a mess in my room though.

Blaster Master works great...but my NES and carts need a cleaning badly- too many times I get the grey screen of death, blinking screen or garbled graphics.

I just hooked up my Toaster NES to my stereo, and I had to run out and buy a "y adaptor" but never has Mario 3 sounded so good! 8-)
