Have any of you guys succesfully run CPSMAME on the Dreamcast? I tried earlier this week and was unsuccessful; I posted a call for help to the www.dcemulation.com messageboard and have seen zero responses, in 4 days. SO, I assume my post was not viewed highly over there, although I am not sure why.

* I downloaded the plain files CPMAME, and the Piony's scrambler.

* I used the scrambler program and converted the .elf to a .bin.

* I then burned the .bin to a CD. On the same CD, I burned a directory called samples, and a directory called ROMS, along with the samples and roms in the respective directories.

* I then boot the DC with Utopia 1.1, and once it's loaded I put in my burned CPMAME cd.

* The LOADING message appears and counts to 98%, and never goes any further.

Based on what I've read, I think I need to find an IP.BIN file, and burn it to the CD as well. Any of you know what I need to do?

Well, I'll tell you one thing. I have had this problem for ages scrambling/descrambling .elf and .bin files and trying to set it up myself...always with that loading up of 98% and stopping at that. I am in no way a newbie of the emulation scene, but half the time this happens to me when I try to create DC emulation discs. I usually just wait until someone posts a DJ or Nero self boot image and work it from there, although I doubt CPMame will have the ability to disc swap. Ehh, I really wouldn't kill yourself trying to get this to work, as I can probably see the games running at 20% of the speed they were originally intended to run...if that. If you are still insistant to get it running and have some insight as to how to correctly set it up and burn it, by all means post a reply!
