A/V to RF.

I like those little hand-held games, but they all require a television to have those A/V plugs. Only a little 5 inch black and white, 12 Volt, portable television has that here.

I've checked at Radio Shack. Bleah.

Is there a website with plans for building a battery-powered A/V to RF adapter?

I don't know about a website, but you can buy RF modulators from just about anyplace.

I used to use an old VCR for that purpose.

True, like at Radio Shack, but if someone has designed a better one, I'd rather build and use that.

RF modulators are usually very easy to pull off from consoles. Feed it with 5V, AV and ground and you're good to go. I took one off from my PCE as I needed more space inside the case.
