Still not worth it, but hey. Figure dI'd pass it on ;)
I'd be careful of rebates with T-Mobile. I went through HELL trying to get a $200 rebate on a Nokia 3650 that I bought through them. People were rude and extremely unhelpful. When my contract is up you can be sure I'm switching companies.

I'd be careful with rebates from any company. Half of 'em are scams, and the other half drag their feet on paying you in the hopes you'll forget about it. I approach all purchases with a rebate involved with the attitude that I'm paying the price before rebates when it's all said and done, and if I actually receive the rebate than I'm lucky.

Just for the reccord, this is actually a rebate through amazon.com, not t-mobile.

I got my latest cell from T-Mobile, and the rebate came, slightly longer than it said it would.
Since you can't beat free, how would I take advantage of this and be able to switch my account to this phone?
Oh god. Did I just say I want an nGage?

Still knocking the Ngage?? So very tired. -_-
The QD is a marked improvement. As a phone it works just fine. As a game system it is decent. The library is still rather dire but people are impressed when you show them what it can do. It is cheap, or even free with activation. Live with it.

The QD rocks for a phone that plays games. It's unfair to compare it to the GBA because its not really a full on gaming system. I'm actuall looking to get one when my contract is up. My friend has one and he's always pulling it out for a quick game on the BART or before a movie starts. If you like to play games 24 7 and you have a cell phone it might as well be an NGAGE. I personally can't wait to get one.

GO AND BUY THE OLD TACO. YOU SAW THE COOL THINGS YOU CAN DO WITH IT. GO NOW, DO NOT DELAY.
You're already with T-Mobile, right? You can't, as far as I know. One of those 'new subscriber only' deals from what I can tell.

I'm not going to spend $30-40 for a game onm my phone, but isn't there a lot of freeware out there now too? Anyone here have T-Mobile? How's the service and range? I may have to switch from Sprint. I need a new phone, mine dies randomly and has horrible reception from my des at work.

T-Mobile is a pretty good service. I wasn't too keen on it at first, but they've expanded their coverage areas, and their rate plans aren't bad at all.
The only way to play games on the N-Gage, IMO, is through emulators. There are also a lot of freeware programs, like IM, browsers, organizers, and the like.
People knock the little thing, but it's actually not that bad of a device.

Emulation, eh? The thing have a data cable, or do I have to pay a ton of money for i-net service and download all the stuff.

The Taco-style one came with a data cable, I dunno about the QD.
I get internet access through T-Mobile for like $3 a month. I can drop the install files in my FTP and download 'em off the web no problem.
The NES emu I have is kida sketchy. The grahpics and framerate are rock-solid, but the sound is archaic and awful. Hasn't been updated in a long time. I'm gonna go off and search for some more emus, though.
I've also got a sweet video player(that I paid for) so I can watch all of those funny GI Joe PSAs on my phone. Provided you have a mem card big enough, you could theoretically compress down a movie and watch it on the N-Gage.

"I also hear that you can play GBA games on the N-Gage, but I would never dream of doing that, as it would be quite illegal and against the rules of this board to discuss it, as the system is still in circulation."

Dang. I was just looking for an N-gage deal when I gave up and came here. DP has all the answers!
I wonder if I can use this deal to get a free phone out of At&t. Gimme one or I switch!

They'd have to pay me to take an N-Gage. And then I'd sell or trade it in somewhere. It's funny how Nokia is still beating this dead horse.
