I just put up a feature on my site (http://www.sega-16.com/Feature-%20Mega%20Drive%20Play.htm) about Sega Toys' foray into the world of plug-'n-plays. They've recently released one with:

- Golden Axe
- Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine
- Altered Beast
- Sonic the Hedgehog
- Flicky
- Kid Chameleon

It costs $38 in Japan but I've heard rumors that an American version can be had at places like Wal-Mart. Can anyone confirm this?

I can cofirm this for the USA, I found one at GameStop here, for $24.99. The 6 Genesis games are the same as you listed as well.

I've seen these before; there should be a European release as well. I'm rather dismayed that they chose Altered Beast and Kid Chameleon over so many other titles.

Needs more Shinobi. (I think some version or other has one - though the joystick with 20 games or so has Revenge on it.)

If Sega released a dedicated Super Shinobi II handheld with cool styling, I'd be all over it.

Though I probably shouldn't say that...AB has the cheesiness factor, and Kid Chameleon can always use some more exposure (definitely has its cool moments).

it looks cool and everything, but for that price or cheaper, you could buy a genesis, and all of those games.really, whats the point of having it?if it was priced at about 12 dollars,i would buy one just to add to my sega stuff.
