Hiho,

I just installed Mame0.62b and the Arcade@home 0.37b frontend. The setup worked fine but when I try to start a game the screen flashes black and the text on the screen says Loading ROM but then the program returns to the frontend.

I have checked the Mame FAQ but I found no help there. Anyone has a clue?

My system: AMD 1GHz, 512 MB RAM, GForce 2 + latest Detonattor driver, Win2000 + SP2. I never had run Mame on this system.

This isn't exactly a solution but it may help us diagnose:

I don't use arcadeathome frontend because I've had problems with it myself. Have you tried MAME32? I've used it on a Win2000 platform before with no problem. You may find that it's every bit as robust and user-friendly as arcadeathome, but with fewer "issues".

It is very funny you just said that because I had the same problem last night. I downloaded the new Detonator drivers and uninstalled and reinstalled, now it's ok.

Well, the reinstall of the latest Detonator-Drivers didn't help but then I downloaded Mame32 and voila, it works:) Bye bye, Arcade@Home:) Thanks for your help!

Another satisfied customer!

Enjoy your MAME32. I'd have to say that for the past 3 years its been the most played software I own!
