Why didn't you just post a thread saying LOOK AT MY STUFF I AM GRATE because no one will ever buy all that in one fell swoop. Never.

He's right. Good luck finding someone who will buy all that stuff as one lot. I doubt there are too many of us here who would be able to afford that. We are a cheap bunch, dude.

Very much agreed. Plus references would help. At least, I'd be extremely leary of purchasing a $100K collection from someone with only one post.

I could use some of that stuff mainly the bsx but nobody will pay 100k from somebody who posted no feedback that he recieved on ebay or wherever.

Did anyone try the link? It didnt work for me. I wanted to see what a 100k collection looks like. Why do you think he would post this here and not on Ebay, or whatever? Oh wait, I used the other link at the bottom. Holy crap on a stick. I get it, he's probaby in some kind of debt and hes posting his collection on every video game related forum he can google. LOL

I could use some of that stuff mainly the bsx but nobody will pay 100k from somebody who posted no feedback that he recieved on ebay or wherever.

I've been actively involved in the industry for awhile. For references, I did the mods and many deals with VGD (www.videogamedepot.com), I've dealt with Thomas Keller (old VGD owner), numerous people on the neo-geo.com forums, I greatly assisted The Game Trader store in STL MO, etc. My eBay user ID is crying (+215).

No, I'm not in super debt, I'm selling because I am finished with gaming. Yes, I do realize most people cannot afford it. The reason I'm posting it here is that someone out there (ie Joe) may know someone who can afford and appreciate it.

You should let it be split up so multiple people can enjoy it.You could have a min. order value set up so you don't have to go to the post office for a $3 item. If you do split it up I want the bsx and games plus the sufami turbo.

I am sure that there are a lot of people who would like to see this lot broken up. I am sure that you can set up a minimum price that will be worth your while as well. I guess it's kinda weird to see someone who is selling all of his stuff, when people like me are trying to obtain it all. You must have put a great deal of time into putting this collection together. But ya gotta admit, thats a lotta loot to drop all at one time. Personally, I would rather buy a house for a 100k. :D

WOW. Thats quite the collection. I wish you luck on selling it as a whole, you probably will need it. That's cool that you helped out with The Game Trader, I spend alot of time and money there. Out of curiousity, what exactly did you do for him?

I love how people always try to convince someone they're doing the wrong thing and should split things up when they've already stated THEY ARE NOT GOING TO SPLIT IT UP. It's so predictable, it's funny.

Good luck with your sale :)

I'd throw it up on Ebay. 1) Make it a private auction. 2) State that the bidders need to contact you before bidding 3) Stipulate that it is to all be picked-up only 4) set a reserve price and go from there. That's probably the best way to sell this in one lot. You can even state that the winning bidder pays all Ebay fees or tell them that when they contact you.

i guess my question to you is why do you want to sell all this...its obvious that you are / were very interested in the hobby and have spent a lot of time and money on this...so, why the sudden change in feelings???

Guess I better put all of my stuff up and attempt to sell it as a lot to 1-Up the guy LOL

Like pg, I don't understand why people complain because they can't afford to buy things in B&S. That's a damn good collection if you're into NSTC-J games, and there are definitely people on these forums that can afford to buy lots like this. Sure, 50-100k is a lot, but you never know.

I went through the same thing. Stopped collecting for a while. Looked at all I had bought. Wondered what the hell should I keep all this stuff for as I never play it. Figured if I really really miss the stuff in 10 years I'll be making enough to put my old collection to shame. In the end I would rather make use of the stuff and in this case that means selling it.

That's the short version of my fallout story.

Another opinion that I don't share often is that the media will eventually die. Then what will be worth money? The box and instructions? hah. Guess it's a bit negative but in a manner of thinking emulation will be the only way to play a lot of these games down the road.

collections like this make me want to be rich. i got about $30 on it, now we need to get everybody else in dp to chip in. i get paid next thursday, so i can chip in about $100, so now we need 99,900. you guys think i am joking and being sarcastic, but if you guys wanna pitch in, i would drive to maine to pick it up (and i live in nebraska).

Same here, but I'd put a little bit more on it.

Well, here's to hoping you can find somebody to sell your stuff to. Trying to sell all that stuff seperately would be one major pain in the bottockses.

I've done everything I wanted to do, simple as that.

Even though I have it insured for $100k, I am open to deals. The collection does reside in the States.

Go in on it? Mine, all MINE!

Actually, sold individually, it might be worth quite alot, so it's probably not a horrible investment if you are into eBay as a lifestyle.
