Are there two Mario All-STars game?
In our (EB's) computer, there are two similar games listed.
Mario Allstars $4.99
Spr Mario AS/Wrld $24.99
Was there a conglomeration of all 4 SMB games on one cartridge?

Yes. All Stars with Super Mario World was a pack-in exclusive. It's definitely sweet to have all 4 on one cart.

Yeah, the 5 in 1 cart is absolutely amazing. I mean, Mario 1-3 and World? Can life get any better with that baby sitting in your SNES?
I think not.

Its Super Mario Brothers 1-3 USA Super Mario Bros 2j (aka Lost Levels) and World. Nice to see something like this but it would be nice to have it Allstars+World as a gba cart.

Right On, 5 in 1. Forgot the Lost Levels. What a fantastic compilation. Still the benchmark. World is still my favorite.
I wish they had given us Zelda in such a state. The originals with memory card save are very nice on the GC collector's edition, but upgraded graphics & sound added to nigh identical gameplay such as in All-Stars or even Ninja Gaiden Trilogy would be godly. Konami needs to do this for Castlevania. The arranged mode on Castlevania Chronicles was really cool.

I back up that statement 100%. Don't get me wrong, Super Mario Advance 1 2 and 4 was nice.(Since 3 was Yoshi's Island)..but they needed to just release Super Mario All-Stars on GBA and call it a day instead of milking the cash cow and giving different features like "Oh look, 5 coins in this level..wee"

A little advertised fact is that Super Mario World on the Super Mario All-Stars compilation cart could be considered SMW 2.0. Luigi's face looks more like himself than being a simple clone of Mario and he jumps a little floaty. All of these changes made it into the Gameboy Advance port if I'm not mistaken.

In fact, there was a page somewhere on the internet about all the differences between the original World and the special compilation version, but I can't find it. I'll look later. It was pretty cool. There are a lot more differences than just luigi's face.
A lot more. So if you find this cart in the wild, even if you have both of the originals, get the compilation for the differences.

The database only includes games on-hand. Kinda silly, a simple "0 Quantity" tag would do just fine.
Unfortunately all our store's allstars were taken in at the $25 sku, because we were trying to get the customer more tradein money lol.

I picked up that SMW+All Stars two weeks ago. Is so awesome! Now I can play any of the mario games plus SMW without changing the cart! (Altough I prefer the classic Nes versions :o )

yeah, well who needs 1 cart when i can have 2 :)
i am lucky that my kid sister knows nothing about games. if you have looked at my game pics, you can tell that the snes was my entire family's system, and then nobody played it anymore, and it became mine. my sister got all stars brand new awhile back, so i am lucky enough to have all of my games, plus anything my family bought (including a complete all stars). it would be cool to have that comp cart, but i guess i will have to deal with what i have, wont i. :(

DAMN, I couldn't have put it any better!!!!!!!!!!! Life does not get any better than that!
Back in the day at my local FUNCOLAND, I would ask them if they had the 5 in 1 cart about 40-50 consecutive times of going there. and every single time, the answer was, NO.

I feel so stupid. When I first started collecting, I must have passed up the combo cart a half a dozen times. By the time I learned it had differences and actually wanted it, it was gone. :o

Since the one i have was a pack in version only does anyone know if it came with a box? I know it had instruction because i have them. I dont remember a box, but i was like 6 at the time so i'm not sure

I am pretty much 100% sure there WASN'T a box with the Mario Allstar + World, since it was a pack in game.

Same as there's no box for SMB/DH on the NES.
Sad, didn't Sega always include a box? At least they had the plastic keep cases. Darn you Nintendo for not doing the same.

Hope so that will be one less thing i have to search for. But i highly recomend picking it up. Tons of fun + 1 more game than the 4 pack.

Thats why i was asking because i knew my Genesis came with a boxed Sonic in it. And i love Sega's plastic boxes.

The coolest thing Nintendo could have done is provided special plastic boxes for all their games from the beginning. The NES, SNES, Game Boy, N64, VB, GBC and GBA... Would be less a pain in the ass now if they had.

Perhaps Nintendo knew a lot of people would just lose the boxes anyway? LOL
Seriously though, it would have been cool for the pack-ins to include boxes. My best guess is that Nintendo didn't include boxes with the games to save packaging space.

There are still a LOT of Genesis and SMS games now with boxes still intact. And while they take more room, I would kill to be able to figure out which N64 game was which without having to label them. Same with GB games.

Not necessarily. There are still a LOT of Genesis and SMS games now with boxes still intact.
Clamshells are harder to lose and can't get damaged easily like cardboard boxes. I wish Nintendo had gone the clamshell route like Sega - they may have won the 16-bit wars, but they didn't win the box wars.
N64 carts - worst label placement ever.

I still come across alot of cardboard boxed games quess you have to know where to look. In the last 2 months i have bought 34 boxed NES games and am getting funds for approx. 100 more.
As for the issue with 64 definately terrible design on nintendos part.
(When do they design something 100% right?)
To get back to the topic what was the price on the Mario Allstars? and that one was sold with a box correct?

Those cool clamshell boxes are one of the reasons why I started collecting for Genesis, and always wanted to collect for SMS. Nintendo and everyone should've followed Sega's lead on that one. That's why most old Genesis games are still mint/complete now. I hated it when they switched to the cheaper cardboard boxes though. It was nice that they at least designed them for frequent easy removal of the cart without destroying the box, unlike all of Nintendo's boxes, but it still sucked that they changed over. And I never liked the way that they plastered "NOT FOR RESALE" all over the Sonic pack-in cart either. I actually bought an extra new retail copy of Sonic, just so I could get rid of that ugly thing and not have to look at it anymore.
BTW, some Genesis games never did come in a clamshell or a box. The 6-in-1 game that came with the Menacer was simply packed in a space in the foam. I actually bought some cheap extra copies of some Genesis throwaway titles, just so I could get some empty clamshells to use for storing the Game Genie, the Menacer cart, the Lethal Enforcers cart, the Wacky Worlds cart, and the CD ROM backup cart for Sega CD. I got some stick-on vinyl letters from an office supply store, and I used those to label those cases, just so I could file them where they belonged in my collection with all of my other games. I didn't like the oddly sized boxes or lack thereof that all those things came in, so that was my solution. I wish that I had kept the original boxes though. I could've just cut them up and used them as inserts for the case sleeves.
Anyhow, back towards topic, Nintendo should've labeled all their N64 carts in a similar way to how they labeled all their SNES carts. At least you can store those in a way that lets you read which game is which from the edge. But those darned N64 carts were as annoying to me as Atari Jaguar carts are. They have the same problem, and so did all my old Atari 5200 carts. That kind of labeling should be illegal. They know that people are gonna get alot of carts, and they know that alot of people are gonna toss all the boxes, so why label all the carts so poorly like that? I really wish that I had saved all my boxes for all my other games, but silly me just threw them all away, I didn't even save any of them for all the artwork. And that was probably one of the biggest mistakes that I ever made. Now I'll never have a complete collection.

I was REALLY pissed when I paid $100 for PSIV:EotM, and it came in cardboard...
