Any other bargain hunters out there who get up early on Friday to shop for bargains? So far the only flyer I've seen is Walmart, which is offering early bird specials of a 27" stereo color TV with front AV inputs for $148 and a VCR/DVD combo for $99 (both symphonic brand, but what the hey!).

Have yet to see flyers for Best Buy (host of last year's $50 DC feast!), Circuit City or KayBee toys, which have had the best deals in the past, IMHO. Please reply with any good deals you have heard of.

I'm still waiting for TRU to drop Dreamcast and N64 prices!

I'm glad to see Adbusters' "Buy Nothing Day" is going to be a raving success this year.

I'm a Best Buy regular. I find that they have the best prices in general. So, I'll probably be there on Friday...

I never shop the day after Thanksgiving...I'm not into mall madness and kamakazi shoppers.

I'll be at Best Buy early...it's a tradition...I usually go through a full paycheck on this day...about $40 for my family, about $400 on me :D

THen on to wherever has the next best deals...probably TRU...that'll be all the shoppingI do that day because...

Then I have to work a Community Open House at COSI from 9 AM to 8PM, we are open for free, we are expecting 10,000+ people at least...

It's busy there when we have 1,500...can't imagine about 7 times that many!!!

Well I've managed to stop the urge to splurge, even on my store's employee appreciation days with massive disc, if I don't need it, don't spend the money.

BTW, I've heard a roumur (my buddy owns video game store) that on Fri, there'll be $50 price drop on GC and Xbox (yes, that's the bundle pack), supposedly Sony will follow suit if this happens. So for any one looking at buying a new system, hold off til after Thanksgiving unless you need one on Thur.

I'm with you on this one, brother. I've done Black Friday from both sides of the register and I don't plan on going back to it unless I'm dragged kicking and screaming (which actually does happen quite a lot).

Instead, I've planned a quiet day with my wife, we're picking out movies that we'll rent that day and spend it inside on the couch with a blanket, a few bottles of wine, lots of microwave popcorn, and a stack of DVD's. Far from the maddening crowd. :)

I'm not suicidal nor homicidal, so I will NOT be doing any shopping on Friday. I'll be working instead. Inside. In the quiet. Away from the crowds. Jesus, I'm getting clostrophobic just thinking about it...
From now until the second week of January, if I NEED to go to Walmart, I'll be going at 2am. *shudder*

I go for one reason, and one reason only...

I'm a shopaholic, and I love the scene at these stores, so cutthroat, so nasty, so fun :)
