I have a non Greatest Hits copy of Legend of Dragoon, and I noticed that the back insert has a small hole in the barcode.

Now I am the original owner so I am pretty sure it came like that from the factory.

My question : is your non GH Legend of Dragoon llike mine too ?

Often, products with a hole in the barcode are review or promotional copies. It is also possible that, for some reason, the barcode was "cancelled" due to some promo for which a new barcode was created (such as a bundle from the game manufacturer).
