GBA Midway Arcade Classics - Nauseatingly bad

I plan to write a scathing review of this title for the print version of DP (subscribe!)

Is it me, or is this just 4 strikes? This compilation includes Defender, Robotron, Sinistar, and Joust. How could they go wrong with such a perfect selection? Wrong they went, as though the developer were on the Wrong Freeway taking the Wrong Exit in the Wrong World.

Yecch! Glad I only paid around $6 for it. It's not worth $2. Bring back my Lynx! I want my Lynx for classic conversions. Please!

Hopefully PSP will have some good compilations with more than 4 titles. That's right, I said PSP, NOT Nintendo DS.

Sinistar: Simply unplayable. It is one buggy fucker.
Defender: everything's just too small! Unless you like shooting at 1 mm-high green aliens?
Joust: that game controls like shit.
Robotron: the only half-decent game of the pack... although you still need magnifying glass to see everything.

That's just the gist of it. Bad doesn't start describing how bad it is.

On the whole, I think the GBA has seen way more than its share of badly scaled ports. Way more.

It's because it's NOT from Digital Eclipse.
Everything Digital Eclipse touches turns to gold.

Lolz, Pocket Studios is the developer. Stupid Midway, this is what happens when you cheap out and go with an inexperienced developer.
