Is anyone as mad at BlockBuster for having such a crappy game selection as I am? I went in today, hoping they would have atleast 7 copies of Fable, and I saw they only have 3 COPIES! I hate this. Blockbuster has the crappiest selection ever. Whenever they get games I REALLY want, they always get one or two copies of it. So lame. They always get a large amount of games no one wants to play, yet they get barely any copies of the games everyone wants to. I mean, they have one Metal Slug 3, one Ninja Gaiden, and one Tales of Symphonia. It's crazy. And it's pissing me off. Anyone else hate Blokbuster because of this reason as much as I do?

No, Hollywood Video has the worst game selection ever. Well, around here at least.

You could always use gamefly, rent them over the net. I did that, just with DVD's, it's pretty reliable.

I hate Madison's campus Blockbuster. I was gonna rent Street Fighter Anniversary Collection while I went for this local place to get it in for cheap. Oh but wait, this Blockbuster never got in a copy. Not a single copy. What the hell? All they cater to is the mainstream.

I just generally hate blockbuster.

Ever since they opened Game Rush, remodeled the stores, and JACKED ALL THE PRICES UP, I can honestly say that I generally hate Blockbuster as well.

Normally I only need one copy of a game so if the store has three I am usually quite pleased. If there are none in stock, I usually just go to one of the other 30 video game stores. And dont forget the interweb where you can get pretty much any game you want.

Well my B Buster has a pretty good game selection...heh yeah

One copy of Silent Hill on release.

One copy of Viewtifull Joe release.

Oh no 14 copies of Burnout 3 release.

But they have a good controller selection with those Street Fighter PS2 controllers and some wired gc and xbox ones.

There are about 15 isles in mine but only 3 are games.....half a isle for Gamecube and 1 1/2 isles for xbox and oly 1 isle for PS2.

Same here. Three isles. What the hell.

And my Blockbuster has the Street Fighter Anniversary Collection in for PS2, about 4 or 5 of them.

Yeah, the BB by where I live sucks too. Two aisles of games and each system has one half. The last half is for used games on sale.

I'm not so crazy about either blockbuster or hollywood video. Their game selection is rather bad but I'm willing to bet if you check back after the new GTA title is released they will have no less then 5 copies available for rent.

I dont like BB because their selection is bad, their workers are incompetent and lazy, and their late fees are nuts. True, they do have the unlimited rental option but who has time to play enough games or rent enough movies to make the programs worth it? I dont.

Dont care for HWV because (localy, maybe all) sell their rental copies for the same price as any other used game store. While its true that both versions are used, I'd rather be paying the high used price for a copy that has at best seen 3 users rather then one thats seen hundreds. Thats worse then any 45% markup gamestop ever had.

Somewhere, both EB Games and Gamestop relax and slowly breathe deep. They know they can't get used to it though, the whips and words will come for them once more on another day.

dunno hollywood's had a decent selection as opposed to the blockbuster I go to...the local BB has about 50 copies of madden 2k5 25 copies of espn 2k5

I was actually surprised to see a box for buijingai but only the display box...completely useless

on the other hand hollywood vid doesn't stock more than 4 copies of a title...

I couldn't rent spiderman 2 since it was "always out" whereas the first time I stepped into hollywood had it...so yeah points for hollywood vid

Woah woah people, news flash. Blockbuster is Video Rental establishment. Up until the debut of Game Rush, game rentals was just an afterthought.

And someone said they cater to the mainstream... no shit. If you're a business and you cater to the minorities, guess what, you aren't a business anymore. I'm getting real sick of people bitching about horrible experiences with Gamestop/EB/Blockbuster/Best Buy because all they do is try to make money. Christ people, stop bitching about it. You know these places do not cater to us, they do not care about us, they never have, and never will. Stop going there and being disappointed, it's like a girl getting into bed with a guy saying, "Oh my god you're gonna be so good!"

Chances are, your store got more than 3 copies of fable, but only had enough shelf space for 3 coverboxes. If they did only get 3, then good. Either way, they're doing good business because they're 100% rented out.

Major retail chain stores are major for a reason. They make money, and can do so across the country.

Yeah, that one is a pretty small store though (and college students are poor). I work at the Westside location and we got around 7 copies of Street Fighter Anniversay Collection (which I will buy used this holiday season for dirt cheap).

One thing that will and is already coming into play when it comes to DVD and Game purchases for Blockbuster stores is their recent departure from Viacom. They no longer have that brand of deep pockets. I mean, we got ONE copy of Silent Hill 4 and we're the largest store in Madison! It hurts!!! But atleast we got plenty of copies of Battlefront!

it sucks around here too....last time i rented was to get the outlaw golf disc that required a rental

unless there is another promo like that i just buy the games instead of renting
