SO FRIGGIN TINY!! I swear! I got Famicom Mini Vol. 21 today...and this is the first time I have held one in my hands...wow...who makes these packages? good lord..
I needed a pair of tweezers to open this box lol So I took the liberty of showing it's size compared to a common penny and a normal USA GBA game.. simply screws with my mind over it's size! I've seen the normal JPN GBA packages, but this takes the cake...

They're still much bigger than a FDS game. The middle part you've got out that sits in a tray - has the recessed "Nintendo" in orange plastic along the bottom (or at least it's printed to resemble it) - is essentially the dimensions of the whole FDS package. Those games would be about twice as thick due to the manual/phone card etc. found inside, but you get the idea that even the Famicom Mini package is bigger than the FDS package! I think it's about in line with a Famicom box, maybe a bit shorter.

That is crazy man....I'd like to meet the people who design box art like this...

It's all about saving space in a country that has very little. Pretty tiny and cute, eh? :)

How are the FDS games on the GBA anyways? Do they now have no load times, or does the game "mimic" them?

I got mine from Ebay, look up "Ace of Bicycle"...took a while since straight from Japan...but god it was worth it.

play-asia.com is a good source too

the FDS game I have, does not load up, just launches quickly like a normal Famicom title

No loading times, at all.
I prefer the smaller size. GBA boxes are too effing big. One day, US companies will relize that bigger does not mean better.

GBA boxes are BIG?

I'd be afraid of losing a game box THAT size! O_O

Man, I love those boxes.... I think they're just about the right size personally. No unwiedly cardboard, but a nice, sleek design. Other companies need to catch up on this.

The folder thing ends on 10-31. It's been available for like the past month or so.

I've got a few of these games and I wanted to carry a bunch on my GBA flash cart....yet all but a couple error out. I heard there may be patched versions out there online. Does anyone know anymore about this? It's a big pain to carry all these carts around to play them.

And don't one you even say to get pocketnes or something. Its NOT the same. :-)
