I always thought it would be cool if you could get a optical drive to read games from multiple systems and send the signal to the appropriate system's motherboard. I'm a computer engineering student, but I'm not far enough to know if this is even feasible. Can anyone give me some answers?

I dont know about feasibility, but I had the same idea. I also thought about some sort of sophisticated pin connector that would accept different cartidges, but that would be harder, if only from a mechanical aspect.

I'd say it would be near impossible for mixing some consoles.
