best pre-order or promotional item for a game.

I went down to my local eb today and spotted a pretty neat sly cooper comic they were handing out to people to hype the game. So that got me to thinking, what do you think the best promo item for a game was ever? I would say that working designs pretty much got it in the big with the punching galleon. Though the zelda disks and tales of Symphonia artbook were also good extras.

Shadow Hearts 2 coming with Shadow Hearts 1 is pretty awesome, especially considering how hard that is to find.

Yeah, I'd have to say that Shadow Hearts has had the best preorder bonus, followed by the Zelda: Master quest disc. Unfortunately for those who didn't reserve it, Shadow Hearts 2 comes out tommorow. I really want it...It's gotten excellent reveiws. PSM actually gave it a ten and ranked it higher than Final fanatsy X!! That's gotta account for something.

shoot my eb store when i opened only had the PS2 demo. , but i might be able to take home the 3 SNES manuls i found if my manager is not a meanie. Chrono trigger, illusion of LAGA and some other one

Defenitely the bonus disc with preordering Wind Waker. Not only was it a sweet bonus item, but the game kicked ass as well. I love WW, don't care what anyone says. The only and happiest preorder I've done.

I'd say the Wind Waker bonus aswell but that Shadow Hearts preorder sounds tempting if the PAL market get's it even if I do have the original game.

Night of the Living Dead with preorder of Hunter: The Reckoning was pretty cool. Return of the Living Dead with preorder of Hunter: The Reckoning Redeemer was not so cool. The Thing with The Thing was good.

The stuffed cows with Harvest Moon were.. cute at least.

All of Midway's preorder deals lately (Midway Arcade Treasures with Psi Ops, Shadow Hearts, Mortal Kombat with the Suffering, I think it was) have been nice, and Dead to Rights for preordering Breakdown was nice also, to a lesser extent.

Or if you reserved Ocarina of Time on Nintendo 64 and got the GOLD copy of it. That was awesome too!

I give PSM reviews absolutely ZERO weight hehe. That is one of the worst magazines for reviews that I know of.

Most mags are giving it around an 8/8.5, and usually making a comment similar to "It's a better choice for a PS2 RPG than Star Ocean"

All of the free discs that were given out with games are always awsome. I was so happy when the guy at gamestop told me that if you reserved it you get a demo disc with Mario Kart. But besides taht the neatest thing I have ever gotten is the Soul Caliber 2 artbook. It's a hardcover book with nice thick paper. Just a nice looking book.

Got the Pre orderd Shadow Hearts today, its has a label variation on it. On the front it says "Promotional Copy Not for Resale". Its a good deal to preorder it as Shadow hearts still sell for 50 bucks new.

The art book and music CD that some people got when preordering Castlevania: SotN was nice. Too bad most people weren't able to get them.

If you pre-ordered Tron 2.0 for the PC, you got a special Warrior figure. It was done with the same mold as the old Tomy figure, but in transluscent grey plastic instead of the deep red the original had.
