Well, I guess I should be thankful that I found anything at all due to my recent luck, but the 2 things I really wanted I missed out on...

Here's what I got

1. Atari 7800 system - 10.00 (I remember when these were cheap, why I never got one when they were is beyond me)

2. yet ANOTHER Sega Saturn - 5.00

3. Final Fantasy Legends - Game Boy - 3.00

4. Tom Jones Live record - 1.00

And while I was at one market I found 2 things I really wanted, a GXtv for 40.00 and a Laserdisc player with about 20 movies for 50.00. I figured I'd continue walking since I didn't have a lot on me, and would come back and try to get am a little cheaper later. Well, the GXtv was sold when I got back, and the guy with the laserdisc player wasn't at his stand and I was already late for work.

Needless to say, I'm pretty sad this morning.

Humane society had a rummage sale that I bought a few things at:

Here's what I got
A box with a Nes system and a Snes system, only game in the box was mario/duck hunt (someone probably got to the games before me) It did contain an original grey zapper, some plastic nintendo cases and 2-3 controllers for each system.

Complete TMNT: Tournament Fighters, PGA Tour Golf, and Evander Holyfield boxing for genesis

Outlaw Golf: Holiday Golf for Xbox (odd thing was that it happened to be in a sega gt/jet set radio future box with the booklets for both of those games).

Not video games related but they also had these two weird sock puppets things that I got too.

That totaled out to $15 for the group and the snes will be a nice replacement for my original yellowing one that was the only one I had.

I'll also add the I got DDR: Konamix for free since my sister started dating a guy whose parents own a local rental store. I had been waiting for that place to drop that off their shelf as previously played for me to pick up but she just had him ask his parents and boom, the game's in my hands. I can see why though the disc looked as if it had never been rented by anyone.

I went all the way down to Englishtown Flea Market today
Big Ass Flea Market..but A lot of Crap....Just Garbage...and a lot of the vendors are pushy.
I just don't like that flea market...it sucks..the stuff and the people..and I'm not very people opinionative.

I did go and talk to the guy who sells the Slot Machines..like usual.(talked for awhile/nice guy)I played several of his machines and told him to see if he can get some Metal Slug Slot Machines..
He's going to let me know next week...(phone call)..if not now he will be able to get them in the future.

There was these two young guys with lots of older stuff ..NES etc..
They wanted $80.00 for a junky boxed GAMECOM....trying to push Yu-gi-oh cards on me..I mean really pushy..I don't like that..
I also don't like being told that a game system is worth So SO!! much money when it's not..Especially Not when I'm wearing a Neo Geo shirt..
I overheard them say to each other that they didn't make any money today../I wonder why..

I flew through the place..Nothing..Garbage..No I don't want any more Genesis systems..or washed out cased sports games.

I did hit these two tables that had I'd say 2-300 games on each table.
I looked through all the Piles of N64/SNES/PS/DC/GBA/GB games and didn't really see something I wanted...
Sometimes there is just to much to look through..
I left and then decided to go back..I grabbed all the PS long boxed games for $30.00...I made a haggle deal..7 for $30.00

All are sealed (except R2R) and a bit dusty..the tables are over this light dirt that turns up a lot with the wind.
I just have to wipe off the outsides..
They also had tons of GC/PS2 and XBOX games at Wholesale prices..New-sealed games...From old to new releases.

I bought BURNOUT 3 for $30.00.....SEALED/Brand new..

I don't know when this game will ever be that cheap..even used..

I picked up the handhelds for $1.00 each..

(The two Neo Geo cases came from elsewhere)

Best hunting day in many many months. :) :) Thrifts that have been all but dry for months produced. My day went like this.

On the way out of my housing development stopped at a yard sale and got:

Genesis Jungle Book CIG .50

First thrift I hit:

Atari 7800 2.95
Atari 7800 power supply .95 and 15 min of searching to find it. I hate it when they seperate the power supply and stuff from the sytem.
NES Punch Out 1.41
NES Metal Gear 1.41
Nes Vegas Dreans 1.41
Victor Maxx Stunt Master 8.95 Some kind of 3d head gear that came with two wire pigtails. One with PS1 controler plugs and Video plug and one with PC keyboard plugs and video plugs.

Anyone have any info on the Victor MAXX? I have no idea how to use it.

Second Thrift:

First SMS find in a long time all 1.41 each with boxes and some books

Lord of the Sword
Double Dragon
Time Soldiers
Shanghai
Ghostbusters
Cyborg Hunter (Needed the box)
Dead Angle (Payed too much for this on Ebay months ago)
Mircle Warriors

Genesis all 1.41 with boxes and some books

Greatest Heavy Weights
Taz in Escape from Mars
Samurai Shodown
TMNT Turtles Tournament Fighters
Adventures of Might Max

Third Thrift:

PS1:
MLB 99 .98
Army Men 3d 1.98
Vigilante 8 2nd Offense 1.98
Alien Trilogy 1.98

Genesis:
Spider man

Not game related but nice a 16MB USB memory stick for 2.50 CIB

I next started the rounds of the retail stores

At Target I found an XBOX wireless adapter clearence 39.99. I have been waiting for them to drop below 99.00 for ages

At TRU 50% off green tag sale:
xbos 13 9.99
PS2 Star Trek Voyager Elite Force 18.49

AT Best Buy no great sales

PS2 Dark Angle 9.99
Dogs Life 19.99
PS1 49.99 the last two Playstations I picked up at Thrifts did not work so I broke down and bought a new one. The seem to be disapearing. With my luck they will be on clearence next week. @_@

With my luck they will be on clearence next week. @_@

If that happens (which I seriously doubt because ours have been 49.99 FOREVER) within 30 days, go back and get the price difference.

I might go hunting later...dunno really, I haven't been too into it lately, I've been getting enough stuff on several forums...

I don't really collect Genesis stuff, but this stuff was too good to pass up. I've never seen a Genesis game in a cardboard box before, or a Genny Codemaster's game.

Today I worked for several hours at the videostore, repricing all our used XBox and Gamecube games. I dropped many, many, many prices to 2.99, 4.99, 7.99, 9.99, and 14.99. I still left in quite a few 17.99 and 19.99. I didn't keep too many at 24.99 or 29.99 because they just wern't selling. The employees don't get it though. We haven't been selling enough used games lately, and I found out why. We had stuff like NBA live 2003 for 17.99 O_O
Needless to say, I dropped it to 4.99 and I left many a bargain to be had for gamehunters. If they arn't moving, just drop the price. They'll go. I put a used copy of NFL Street for the Xbox out for 9.99 (does this seem about right to you guys?) Then one of the employees put a new sealed one out for 29.99. That will NEVER sell! They might even get mad that I'm charging so little for these games. Hell, I dropped many from 25 to 10 in a heartbeat! But its a used game section of an independent videostore. You simply can't charge so freakin much.

Sorry about the rant.

Anyways, I picked up a sealed Bases Loaded II: Second Season for the NES for $5 from the store's small NES game section. I figured it wasn't worth that much, but sealed NES games are so rare these days. Whatever.

Well, I drove a couple of hours to my parents place b/c I need the cables and controllers for my colecovision... bad news is that after turning the entire attic upside down and inside out, I only found 1 regular and 1 super controller but none of the cables... good news is that I found about 30 old video game magazines (Electronic Games, Video Games, Numb Thumb News, Atari Age) and my colecovision membership kit (card, 2 book covers, high score pad, unused iron-on transfer, envelope kit was mailed in, welcome letter) and my Welcome Back Kotter lunchbox I used to take to school (with the thermos!), a TI-99/4A with a couple of R1 carts, and a ton of old Mad/Cracked/Crazy magazines (anyone have a link to what those might be worth?). I have photos of the relevant gamer mags and stuff, but don't know how to put them up here... (now I do, thanks nesmaster!)

My best find ever:

I usualy dont go to many garage sales but this week I hit the jackpot...upon arriving to one of the houses I saw a NES sticking out on the top of a box, I went over and looked though a bit...seemed to be alot of systems in there....so I ask the old people how much they wanted for the box, they said "I think he wanted $5", so I'm guessing their son or something is selling it, so I quickly say ok I'll take it, eventhough I didnt have a sure clue of what was in it.
After I get it in the car and drive away I stop to check it out, heres whats inside:

3 Bare NES
2 Model 1 Genesis
1 Model 3 Genesis
5 Controllers (1 NES, 4 GEN)
Hook ups for both model 2 genesis
Excitebike
Tetris
Super Mario Bros

All the systems are in great condition, the NES have little to no yellowing, great condition, same w/ genesis. I havent tested them yet, but for $5 how can you go wrong?

In goodwill I picked up a plug and play pac man edition that was in an old beat up box. Seems to be brand new (even smells new) but I havent tested it yet.

I din't have a cahnce to go out at all this weekend, so I thought I'd end up with nothing to report. But, Bira-Bira smiles upon the faithful. As I was walking out of work at 8:30, sunday night, the boyfriend of one of my workers asked me if I wanted to buy his old Nintendo stuff. This is what he had.

All NES
Top Loader
Dog Bone controller
Square controller - 3
NES Play Action Football
Tiny Toon Adventures
Mega Man 5
Zen: Intergalactic Ninja
Ninja Gaiden
M.C. Kids
Jungle Book
Zoda's Revenge
StarTropics
Kirdy's Adventure
Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
TMNT II: The Arcade Game
Skate or Die
Yoshi's Cookie
Dr. Mario

First thing I saw when I looked in the bag was the top loader. I didn't even bother to look at anything else. All he was asking was $30, so I paid it and ran away. There are a bunch of manuals, also. Some go to the games I listed, but some go to a few gameboy games and one for Mega Man 6. I need to talk to him again

Probably overpaid, but I got a bunch of used N64 accessories at GameStop:

Gray controller (Nintendo) -- very new control stick!
Memory card (Nintendo) -- no label, but I don't really care
Rumble pak (Nintendo) -- with original Maxell batteries, oddly enough
Game Boy transfer pak (Nintendo) -- only 99 cents!

All for about $15.

Couldn't find anything good game-wise there, but I did pick up two PS2 Jam Packs (Winter '03 and Spring '04) for $3 at work. Also took home the GBA Video display sign -- featuring SpongeBob on a GBA SP screen -- which had been kicked out of the display case with the new sales planner. That, of course, was gratis.

Have to hit up EB and the flea market this weekend, assuming I have any money after bills.
