It seems like eBay had listened to customers and will keep half.com afloat.
This is one of few ocassions that eBay meet the requests of users and did it right.

For those of you who're not familiar with half.com, it's eBay's sister site that allows you to sell items and have them listed indefinitely as long as you sell an item within 3 months, this is much better than eBay as it's free to list the items until they get sold, you're guaranteed payment as buyers charge credit cards through their accounts in half.com. I've stopped selling games on eBay now and use half.com only, takes longer to sell but you get the prices you want.

As a buyer, you can take your time and buy an item when you're ready, unlike eBay where you have to rush and come up with the money if you want to win an item, plus no agonies involved with bidding.

half.com is best suited for books, DVDs, and video games with bar codes as there's no need to create custom auction sites, plus eBay earns more commissions from sales of half.com, in the end it's a win-win situations.

WITH barcodes is the problem.

Almost everything I sell doesn't HAVE a barcode, won't be in their system since it's imported, or I've LONG since lost the box/manual to.
The only reason they kept it open is because item specifics and the barcode system in ebay is going so badly that noone switched over :)

I was quite happy to get that e-mail from eBay about this. I picked up quite a few Sega CD games from half.com and for college textbooks, it's quite awesome.

Buying is great since the shipping price is always standard. No more of the $7 to ship one small cartridge.
