When work pays off

Yesterday I was at work. Normaly, I hate working saturdays, but this time it would prove to be a rather fruitful endeavor. There I was, reading a magazine for the good of all library-goers, when the phone rang. It was my coworker, calling to tell me that she was cleaning out her attic and found "some odyssey games and stuff" and if I'd like to have them. Of course, I told her, so she came in before we closed and had me come out to the car to check them out to make sure they were something I wanted.

I took one look and simply said "oh, I'll definitely take these".

ALL of these were boxed and with their manuals, no less. All of them work fine, and a number of them are pretty good. This more then doubled my O2 collection, easily. In the past people have donated dreamcast games, atari 7800 games, and once my coworker brought me a 2600 she found out to the road...but this easily beats them all.

Anyone else get anything good from work before?

I work in a Dollar Store. The best think I ever got gaming related was a sealed Sonic 2 for Game Gear for a buck, and a bunch of funny b-movies.

I really never have except maybe some handelds..


It's always a Co-worker of a family member who usually gives them stuff,then it goes to me.
After games might be brought up in a convo and a relative thinks of me.

Getting suff this way I've got many things.
And I've also been told the SAD story that only if the co-worker had known they wouldn't of thrown all the stuff away.. :( ........... @_@

My wife's boss/female gave her to give to me her entire NES collection..not a whole lot but everything she had for it.(30 or so games/system/cart holder)

Another co worker of my wife told her she has a Vectrex in it's box in her Attic...
She's had it up there for yrs..
She said she was going to give it to my wife for me when she cleans out the Attic(someday)..
I went to see my in-law relatives that come up from Germany..(nicest people)
They always bring us something..These German toys you build that are in Chocolate Eggs..(I like them/the building of the mini toys)

We were talking games and he said he has a PAL intellivision with games/boxed that he's going to give me/bring up for me one of these days.
