I recently got a second controller for my Atari Jaguar after wanting one for a while. So I pop in my only two player game for the machine Raiden. As soon as it started up I noticed something strange, the usual music that plays when the planes take off wasnt audible. I thought maybe I didn't plug the machine in well or maybe the reciever was on Mute. But as soon as I fired the planes guns I heard the sound. I went to the options menu and looked at the music meter. To my surprise it was all the way down, When I tried to bring it up the meter wouldn't gain. Is there something wrong with my cartridge? Is there a way I can reset the cartridge to factory standards so that everything is back to normal?

Maybe a two player game cuts the music for the processor to keep up? I have no idea as I am still trying to get a jaguar.

That's odd. It shouldn't do that. Does it function correctly with just one controller plugged in?

That unfortunately for you sounds like what happened to me with Zoop. I was playing a really good game of Zoop one day and the music stopped. Now, that cartridge plays everything at about 1/3rd speeds of what it originally did with no sound FX. I got a new cartridge (that functions correctly) but if I ever want to get an unbelievable score in Zoop, I could always fire up that original one.

Is the music muted? IE. Did you "turn off" the music by pressing "0"?

No I just started the game one day and it had the music bar all the way to the bottom, I cant bring it back up which is the problem.
