So what games have you especially enjoyed that have a Halloween theme but which are not meant to be scary? The #1 choice for me is Zombies Ate My Neighbors...I think I'll have to pull this out again around Halloween week and see how far I can get. I have it for the SNES and the other two that come to mind that I have are also for that system. There's Ghoul Patrol, the "sort of" sequel that I never got into for some reason and one I've not played yet (October would be the perfect time) and that is The Adventures of Dr. Franken. Any opinion on that game?

Escape from Monster Manor for 3DO. One of the better FPS games for the 3DO. Sort of has that "Zombies Ate.." vibe.

Zombie Nation's just damn bizarre, I love that one.
Decap Attack isn't bad either.

Halloween Harry for the PC. I played the shareware oh so many years ago and it was a hell of a lot of fun.

I believe Monster Party would count. The game does have enough elements of a Halloween-style setting, and it's completely fubar, so I like it a lot. :D

Maniac Mansion, while not necessarily Halloween, is essentially a cheesy kids Halloween special made for the NES. It's great, but not scary at all.

Wow, I really should try and get a Zombies Ate My Neighbors playathon going for the 31st. Great idea.

I've never played this game, but it sure looks like some great Halloween fun!
And, of course, don't forget Poland!

Medievil and to a lesser extent, Medievil 2 for the Playstation.
I always thought those games had such a dark charm. Kind of reminded me of Nightmare Before Christmas.

None of the Castlevania games are scary, but they certainly don't fall into the same category as say, ZamN.
I second Mike's vote for Monster Party, though.

It's definately got the chessy effect, but still a great game.
My vote goes to Zombies Ate My Neighbors too.

Zombies ate my neighbors is such an awesome game. What other game has a six pak of soda as a weapon?

Hmm...all the Hugo's House of Horror games for me, INCLUDING that 2.5D (i.e. Wolf 3D clone) shooter. Reminds me, I need to try to find these sometime!
