Hey guys, the other day a went garage saling and bought a Coleco and 8 games (plus some atari and nintendo stuff :P ) for $2, and I have a few questions.

I got all the hookups, but the wire going from the system to my tv seems to be too thick to plug into the cable hole. Do I need an older tv for this thing to work or what???

Also, I got an Expansion Module #1. What in the world is this thing for??? It looks like a normal cartidge could fit into either slot. What is the difference here???

Really though, I never had a Coleco so I wanna try it out. Please help me! O.o

1. The wire doesnt go from your TV to your console directly. You need an RF switchbox, which you can get at any Radio Shack. They're marked "TV/GAME" and have a separate connector that goes into your cable TV input on your TV. The wire goes from your console to the switchbox.

2. Expansion module number 1 is to play Atari 2600 games on your ColecoVision. You plug THAT into the front of your ColecoVision unit (marked "expansion port"). Slide up the little door, slide in the expansion module. Plug an Atari 2600 game in, and some controllers. Boom, you're good to go.

Hope this helps!

you can also completely skip the swtichbox and get an *RCA female to cable plug (also known as "F" plug)*
they look like this-

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=803066275

and they are around $ 1.50 at radio shack. the swtichboxes add static in my experience and actually cost around $ 6.
plus i have had radio shack switchboxes crap out for no reason.

congrats on the great find- have fun with it
