At the request of Mr. Santulli, I put up some pictures of my 3do items here. (http://photobucket.com/albums/v465/insidyr) For reference, the FV-1 is the MPEG adapter for the FZ-1, the FV-10 is the MPEG adapter for the FZ-10, and the FZ-EM256 is the memory unit. The storage manager cd for the memory unit was hard to get a picture of because it's still sealed. If you look closely, you can see a reflection of the side of my head on it :P . The pics are around 200-400kb. They're not the best quality, but I'm sure they'll suffice.

I did find something strange when I was taking these pictures. If you look at the FV-10 manual, you'll notice it's also the reference for the FV-1A??? I hope this damn thing wasn't released. It seems to be for the FZ-1, but I can't imagine what major differences there would be. Perhaps the FV-1 isn't compatible with the Video CD 2.0 standard and the FV-1A is. Good lord, this system gives me a headache!

@DP: Do you have the 3DO Demo Disc Program? If I get ambitious, I'll put up pics of that as well.

Yeah, that's Geocities for you. No-bandwidth file hosting. And yes, the FZ-10 is the flip-top.

EDIT: I moved the pics to another site. You should have no problems now.

Yup... The ugly one.

If you are looking for a couple of REALLY cool controllers for the system, I would suggest these two...

Game Partner - A really great arcade stick controller that can also take a SNES controller or any 3DO controller for player 2.

DOCS Wireless Controllers - An absolute must-have! Especially since viewing most 3DO graphics while sitting too close to your TV will cause blindness... And INSANITY!!!

The FV-1 allows you to watch Video CDs on the FZ-1. The FV-10 allows you to do the same on the FZ-10. The FZ-EM256 stores game saves, it's like the 3DO's version of a memory card. I didn't even know that any of these were actually released until I found them.

As for 3DO graphics causing blindness, well you got me there. I just played Immercenary for the first time in a while, and it looked worse than I remembered. Same goes for PO'ed.

I KNOW!!! Isn't it weird how back then it seemed like the graphics were off-the-wall frickin' amazing!?! I remember playing The Need For Speed, Off-World Interceptor, Road Rash and Way of the Warrior on the 3DO for the first time and thinking "the graphics are off-the-wall frickin' amazing"!!!

Going back now, yeah the graphics are dated, but the systems still has some REALLY GREAT, FUN and MEMORABLE GAMES*!!!

* Like Burning Soldier.... Yeah, I said it.
