Yep, and this issue of PC Gamer is hitting subscribers this week, then a little after for us non-subscribers.

Damn, this can only mean the game is close to release.

Yeah, I got a mail this morning that says it'll be out on 1st November. Most big sites have it for preorder for that date as well now. The US is getting a limited edition box set with lots of goodies (HL1 source , T-shirt etc) while Europe gets the plain ordinary edition - some things never change! :o

Hey, guess what? I just preordered myself a copy from the US - I'll get that HL source if it kills me (or my credit card!)

Am downloading as we 'speak' :D I am so excited aobut this game - I fell like I'm a 10 year old! Normally I don't fall for the hype so I really hope it doesn't let me down - then I'd have to become a cynical old man again LOL

I just read the 8 page review. Boy does this guy love the game! Giving it 96% and he didn't have anything bad to say about the entire game except the battery thing (which I don't think would bother me.) Roll on release time :)

I don't think they're releasing the source code. They're releasing versions of CS and the original HL using the new engine. They haven't released the source cods for the first game yet (if ever!). :)
