In issue 10 2004, the German PC magazine puts the game 'Indiana Jones and the fate of Atlantis' from LucasArts into the Hall of Fame.

And rightly so, I remember it being an excellent game, and even in the early 90s, LucasArts totally translated the game into German language.

Nowadays, Germans and French wouldn't have it any other way, as Sims 2 comes in both native tongues. Me, I still prefer the 'original' language, having lived in the UK for 17 years, I was spoiled with USA films and games in English.

I'm not gonna lie, I loved that game.

It was easily one of my favorite adventure games back in the day, and I simply loved to just play it and play it for hours. Not only was it a good adventure game, but you were Indiana Jones. I mean, you just can't beat that.

I've heard it mentioned precisely one time besides this. Plus, you're from the Continent, things could be different there!

Glad to hear it though.

might be that it wasn't popular in the US, but it sure was over here, so the fact that it's in there hall of fame is nothing that's really worth mentioning, this game is in every pc gamers hall of fame over here, right up there with Monkey Island 2 :)

I think hydrox misses the point; it is not in the Hall of Fame because it was popular, it is there because it was/is an excellent game.

It's defintely a well-respected game here, just overshadowed by the other LucasArts adventure games like Monkey Island, Day of the Tentacle, Full Throttle, etc.

i know why it is in there, i just said that no serious pc gamer in europe (who doesn't hate adventures) would not list this game in his top100 so there's nothing spectacular about GameStar listing it...

@trellisaze

Indiana Jones is also a LucasArts game ;)

That's why he said other Lucasarts games ;)

one of my favorites, and yes here in North America, often overlooked with Monkey Island and other LucasArts faves dominating the adventure scene here back in the day.

I mean, this was the first 'pathway' game I can remember playing, where there were three specific ways of going about things. Guts, Wits, and... Force? The more violent of the three I forget. Man, I played the hell out of this and other adventure games back in the day.

Don't worry Grayfox, about hydrox's reply, I think he's getting excited very quickly and replies before thinking (He always does that).
