EP My Card, looks like it was to be a writable (one time, most likely) Sega My Card. Of course, I've never heard of anyone who owns one of these, so likely it wasn't released.

I maintain the SG1000 section. My pc just crashed, as soon as I get it back up and rescue the data from on it I will add it to the database. Could you get me a name of the cart itself?

Thanks.

Upon further evidence, it seems this probably wasn't intended to be SG-1000 specific, as it could work with Mark III games too.

Hmmmm... which section to include it in; Mark III, or Sg-1000?

Either way, as you can see by the pic, it's called "EP My Card", and definitely not released.

Although Bock's reply on SMSpower (http://www.smspower.org/forum/messages/19453.html) does suggest that there are protos in existence (or was it just a proto cart version?). Either way, it's hella neat.

According to Bock's repy, it would seem the cart he found may have been used in the early development of the card programmer system, but doesn't mean any actual proto EP My Cards have been found.

I posted pictures to the thread:

(I likely won't answer again on this forum. I'm trying to avoid visiting too many forums).

So, I guess it's now a Prototype entry, as there ARE a few Japanese EP My Card protos in existance.
re-writable game card, from long before Blockbuster tried a similar thing for the Genesis.

Don't forget the similar efforts for the Atari 2600 back in the early 1980s...
