Electronic Gaming Monthly Demo Disc

I was over at a friends house a few days ago, and he had showed me a DVD/CDROM (not sure which) which came with one of his Electronic Gaming Monthly magazines. The magazine it came with was pretty current...I'm not sure that it is still on newsstands though, if it was, I would just grab it for myself.

Anyway, on the one video, was a skit for Ghosts N Goblins. A fat Arthur runs around fighting some goblins, really funny and stupid. Would anyone be able to rip this as a computer file for me? I found it quite amusing, and would love to have a copy to look at whenever I want.

Might the disc be one of those Wal-Mart sample things, with all sorts of random crap(movies, games, music, etc.) on it? I remember tearing that out of one of my more recent magazines, although I can't remember if it was EGM or not.

now all newstand issues of egm come with a dvd/pc disk.i think it will be a new one in everyissue,but i do know subscribers do not get this disk.it is newstand only.

Yeah, it definately came with EGM. I'll scope out a few places which have magazines to see if i can grab that issue...if not, maybe I can grab it on the internet or something.

It was funny, my friend was not familiar with the whole "Ghosts n Goblins" boxers thing, and he just didn't understand the skit at all.

Heh, that would explain why I don't know about it. Ah well. Would be nice if they extended that to those who actually subscribe to their book, though.

I imagine if they ended up doing that they'd go the same route GamePRO goes with their bonus shiz and end up asking for an extra $10 because of it. Of course, nothing GamePRO has produced has really ever been worth a dime to begin with...

I get this magazine..SUBSCRIPTION....I get two of them a month..One is sent Free,after signing up for the free deal awhile back...
They both come at the same time.

Both have the Disc below in it..

One of the magazines got ruined when my friend spilled his drink on it at the Bowling alley..but I pulled out the attached inside disc before shoving the wet magazine in his bowling bag.. :D :evil:


My sister in law gets the magazine.(SUBSCRIPTION)...She gives them to me whenever I go to visit my In laws.
She doesn't even read them..She piles whatever gaming magazines she gets and gives them to me..
She signs up for the free subscriptions to the mags though.

That's the magazine pictured below..It was the only magazine she had for me it also contains the disc..(not opened yet)

I haven't tried this CD ROM disc because I figured it's an Ad filed disc that'll put a bunch of crap on my computer..(?)

The skit is by the guys at http://mega64.com , who are supposed to be releasing a dvd soon of the show. It seems very MST3K-inspired to me in story, but that's not a bad thing. Go to the site and watch the shenmue and tetris skits, they rule.
