My girlfriend (who is Japanese herself) gave me the Japanese version (game and bongos) for my birthday recently, not knowing that an American version was imminent. So if I can get the English version too, I'll have both versions and be the coolest kid on the block.
And while I'm at it, she also got me a nice, original Famicom with several games to boot. I wish I had more birthdays in a year!
