Christmas around the corner, now's the time to get prepared for the selling of the $60-$80 NES systems, and $80-$125 Atari 2600's!!
I wish ataris would go for that much. LOL

Well just for the fun of it I went on UPS.com and tried calculating the shipping. Now I could only choose a max of twenty packages and I selected to have packages dropped off at UPS itself. Also I did not figure shipping insurance. Given the different variables these totals could be higher. And this is shipping from NC to AR.

Hehe, I knew somebody would post about that auction. :) If anybody is crazy and loaded, I'd recommend bidding on the auction. mr.soundtrack is a really nice, honest guy. I'm sure his stuff is in good condition. I've never bought from him myself, but I know him from another message board where just about everyone has bought tons of video game soundtracks from him.

I'd bid in a heartbeat if the shipping wasn't 21 - 80 pound boxes, or if it was even REMOTELY conceivable driving distance...

It's not that I don't believe the person, it's the fact that a story like that is a collector's wet dream, and no one expects it to actually happen, you know?

Actually guys, I vaguely remember that. I remember the 20K price tag and I remember the pics. Maybe about a year or so ago, and IIRC it was in Japan. It was certainly not EVERY system ever made, but it was many complete sets of system variations, even the rare ones. Every Dreamcast, every N64, every Genesis, all kinds of Neo Geo hardware, etc., all in boxes and reportedly new. There were a lot of questions about its legitimacy, but it was there on eBay.

HOW many bald PSX units is that? ...bleh.
Funny how he put the common garbage in the first line of the title, forgot to put X-EYE in there at all! That would've been helpful.

ya if it was not for the shipping I would gladly pay around $3000 for this lot. And the answer to the question about how many nintendo's can you have for reselling purposes? Well I would like to buy NES consoles 20 at a time once a month for as long as you can keep them coming. I buy NES consoles (sometimes even complete) for 5 bucks CANADIAN all the time. No word of a lie, and I throw them back at ebay for 45 USD Buy It Now with 3 common games and I get it sold %90 of the time within a 12hr span. But in all reality I usually only get about 6 or 7 a month from VV, pawn shops & local yocals. AND I SELL'EM ALL. That is how I finance my video game collection!!, I make the games buy more games..lol. I never actually end up paying for near any of my games becuase of NES consoles, if it was not for the NES I would not have about half the games I do as I am B-R-O-K-E and that is the only way I can even afford games in the first place...lol

I hope whoever buys this does not dump it all on the market. That would be drastic for prices.

Well, it would push them down while he did it, so you'd have to act then.

Are you talking about LingJr's $100,000 auction? If so, that was hardly every game system ever made.

I live in Mississippi, so if I win it will be a pretty good drive from here, but cheaper than $1000 shipping.

dude, let me know if you win, either that or post if you do, since I know there will be many people, like myself, that will gladly help you make your money back.

Yes, please! If you wouldn't mind parting with one of the six-switch 2600 systems (and some controllers) at some point in the future, I'd be glad to buy it from you at a reasonable price.
One other point regarding rarity. The auction list, and the quantities of various items on it, appear to be an accurate reflection of what's available on the market -- for instance, 165 square NES pads but only 1 dogbone version. Am I correct in this assertion?

"I've considered parting with each system one at a time and making a fortune, but game systems aren't my specialty, and I have other things that I need to focus on at the moment."
SHEESH, if he amassed all of that stuff into one place and it's not even his specialty, then I'm scared to death of whatever the hell his specialty is! @_@

If you do, I might ask about buying something or other. Right now, I'm not sure what the hell that'd be, but it isn't for want of choices LOL
