Yeah, I noticed that the DC, noted for having a lot or arcade games, also seems to have a nice chunk of horror games. However, some are not too well known. I know there's several resident evil games on the DC, as well as Alone in the Dark. But did you know there's a game based on the Ringu/Ring series? And it even came to the US, oddly enough.

However, the game that really made me make this thread is ILLBLEED. Anyone else play this? It's a great premise for a game, basically you are set into a stage with a goal of resolving the source of the horror. You have to find a scope item, and then use it to point out where you think the game is going to try and scare you before it happens. Like say, "that picture on the wall will scream at me" or something. If you're right, you're ok. But if you miss one, the horror scene occurs and you lose health. Game is creepy as hell too, and the "portal to other stages" stage is great, all the stages take place in movie theatres...the whole thing is just kinda hard to explain, but it's definetely worth a shot.

Anyway, post up your DC horror stories!

The Ring was an odd game, and a bit creepy as well, but most people think it sucks and wasn't scary at all.

But this is coming from the guy who got creeped a bit in certain areas of Luigi's Mansion.

DC? First game that really mad me jump from time to time, when Resident Evil Code Veronica was exclusive to DC, upon release we were probably all in "awe" of the graphics back then.

First thing that tripped me out were the "Banders" with the long arm

shadowman, shadowman!

forget playing it on another platform, play it on DC thru the end and you will be converted to it i promise! the asylum levels alone, where those beasts with the meat hook hands come out of nowhere, the serial killers apartment, the prison scenes.

i just cannot overstress how much there is to this game, its so damn deep and large, its basically two whole games. some of the best graphics too, great music, decent voice acting, tight story. in my opinion its the sleeper classic for the DC.

One game I haven't seen mentioned much is Dino Crisis. When I first played that, those dinosaurs kept jumping out and scaring the pootie out of me!
