Hey,

I picked up Tony Hawk's Underground yesterday at Target for $16.00 (woo!) and I sat down to check it out tonight. When I'm playing, the game seems to do some odd things that make me feel like I got a bad pressed copy. Can someone confirm that their copy does not do the following things that I found odd:

- At the "Loading" screens, fills the bar and then waits for about 30-45 seconds to move on.
- Any time I go to talk with someone, when the box says, "Press A to continue" when I do the game freezes for a few seconds (ten-ish?) before moving on.
- Any time I win a competition, the game freezes for about ten seconds before moving on.
- At certain points, the music makes a sound like a ton of stuff falling over / a bass-y CD being scratched a lot. It did this when I saved my game. It didn't sound like music, and I listen to the type of music that were on the first four THPS games, so I don't think it's that...

Can anyone confirm this is messed up? If not, I'm pretty saddened that the always solid THPS gameplay is interupted by something that looks so shoddily programmed :(

It could also be a problem with the xbox its self. What drive do you have?

You're not the first to have problems with the XBox version of the game:

Hmmm... that's really crappy (and sorry for the double threads, I missed that one a few weeks back.)

I have a new Halo green Xbox and it hasn't had any problems whatsoever (except the darn thing is loud as hell when it is on. But I've been told that's normal for an Xbox...) I've been told these have Samsung drives, which are the best.

The game is literally new. Two hours ago, it was shrinkwrapped. The disk is perfect.

This stinks. Oh well, I guess I know not to get THUG 2 now :(
