Just got back from a quick rummage run...

Astro Command - $3.00 A 4-color VFD tabletop from Radio Shack that plays like Scramble without the mountains. Mint and complete...kinda loud though.

Virtual Boy, with Mario Tennis and Galactic Pinball - $10.00 No boxes and very dusty, but it works...may finally try that headset conversion.

Good Luck All,
Rich

Went to a garage sale a couple of streets over and got:

Mega Drive 2 with Power cable and RFU
2 6-button Controllers (1 original, 1 3rd party)

And the following games, only a couple missing manuals:
-Lotus 2
-Rugby World Cup 95
-Madden 95
-FIFA International Soccer
-Super Baseball 2020
-NBA Jam T.E.
-Mortal Kombat 3
-Brian Lara Cricket
-Sampras Tennis 96
-Bubsy
-Haunting
-Olympic Gold
-NBA SHowdown

And some NES manuals: Flintstones (rescue of dino), Super Offroad, RBI Baseball, and Snake Rattle and Roll. If anyone in Aus. needs any of them PM me or something ( im not much of a NES person).

All for $40 AU+having to carry it home in the sun (20 minute walk). I probably overpaid a little bit, but it gets me closer to 100 MD games (89 now) and i didnt have a 1st party joypad either, so a winner is me.

My housing development had a comunity yard sale this morning so I hit over 10 yards sales close to home. I did not find any video game stuff until about the 10th sale where I found a complete Atari 2600 6 switch system with about 20 games. There were no games I did not already have but not bad for $5 :) The lady said someone had told her she might as well throw it in the trash because no one would want such an old system. Another Atari saved from the dump.

I also picked up a VHS Movie call Arcade. Anyone know anything about it I had never heard of it?

Ah, Bira Bira himself smiled upon me today. Found a Coleco tabletop Frogger in an old toy bin at a forgotten flea market. Missing battery cover, dirty as hell, and marked "not working." Bought it, took it home, took it apart and cleaned all of the parts, and resoldered the loose wire that had come off the on/off switch. Works like new and - other than the missing cover - looks like new.

Cost me $4. :D

I also picked up a VHS Movie call Arcade. Anyone know anything about it I had never heard of it?

If it's the one with the chrome skull on it, it's one of the worst movies ever made. Very early use of computer graphics, and as near as I can tell, someone was able to render a chrome skull, and said, "Hey, this would be cool in a movie!" And five minutes later, the script was finished. If you spend time watching it, you will feel chronologically raped at the end.

Enjoy!

Ok, here's my rundown.
Garage sale listed vdeogames, as well as other stuff I was interested in. When I got there, I saw a box of computer games. Half way decent stuff, but I didn't feel like buying any of it. Got to the main table. Small stack of SNES ranging from $1-3 each, complete boxed DC with 1 controller for $20, boxed GBC for $25, some boxed GBA games for $10 each. Oh, and some kind of action replay for 5. Don't really know.

Well, I ended up buying SNES Earthworm Jim and its manual for $3, and I got a complete boxed Golden Sun: The Lost Age for $7. Well, on my way home, I looked in the box to see that it was actually just plain old Golden Sun in the box :(
I took it back and the lady refunded my money, and she had just put out a box of old comic books. I went through those and got 8 for $1 :P

The thing is, though, is that she said there was a bunch more videogame stuff in the back, but her sons hadn't gone through it and she couldn't sell it. She proceeded to point to 4 or 5 LARGE boxes @_@ Even by asking a little more, she wouldn't budge  Oh well. She said come back next year O_O

I could see in the top of the boxes...there was some good stuff in there...

Hit up a few EB's to take advantage of the last day of the "buy one, get one free sale." Sadly, mostly common stuff, but I bought a few games that I wanted. I spent about $18 on this stuff:

Double Dragon (NES) w/ manual
James Bond Jr. (NES) loose
Warrior of Rome (Genesis) boxed
Super Punch Out (SNES) boxed
Super Ghouls N Ghosts (SNES) complete
Sid Meier's Civilization (SNES) complete

I also picked up Type O Negative's October Rust for 5.99 out of their used CD section.

The vast majority of SNES, NES, and Genesis games are 5.99 and less, but I notice that there are still a few titles that EB refuses to discount. Kid Icarus is still $15 or $20, and one EB had a nice, boxed Breath of Fire 2 behind the counter, but they were charging $30 for it. It would've been a nice pick up for 5.99 combined with the sale.....

lifeforce (nes, loose) $3
super punch-out (loose,snes) $5
rocket knight adventures (complete, gen) $4

last weekend
gradius III and zombies ate my neighbors (both loose, snes $3 a piece)

commons, i know, but excellent games :)

On Saturday my Japanese versions of Star Ocean 3: Till the End of Time and Star Ocean 3: Director's Cut that I bought on eBay arrived. As I was sort of expecting, they were the Asian versions... :( Not as good of a deal as it would have been had they been the Japanese releases, but still not bad. They're in really nice condition, and I'm happy to finally have the Director's Cut. Since I collect EVERYTHING tri-Ace, I would have wanted the Asian versions eventually, so I see it as just getting it out of the way. I can put off the Japanese Director's Cut, and hopefully it'll go down in price (the Japanese still pay a fair amount for it). Actually, a good number of my PSX imports are Asian, so I don't know why it bothers me so much. o_O
