I just picked up a used copy of Star Ocean: Till the end of time at my local EB. I've played a couple hours and to my surprise am really enjoying it. I was'nt going to get the game, cause Star Ocean 2 was just 'average to good' for me, but I really like the easy controls, the good graphics and music, the interesting story so far, and the vocie acting is good as well.

The manual (and the game config screen) make mention of something I've never seen before, though, and I wanted to ask about it.

It says that if you have a progressive supported TV, you can play the game in progressive mode if you hold X and Triangle at system start and if the console is hooked into a D2 port.

Does that mean to hold the buttons at the system start or game start? And what the heck is a D2 port? My new TV has progressive support, and I'm allready playing it in widescreen format (and it looks QUITE nice on that also).

Can anyone shed some information on this?

Hold Triangle and X right after putting the game into the system, then a screen will appear. I'm not sure what the D2 port is suppose to be, maybe optical out? Just make sure component cables are hooked up to your PS2 and you're good to go.
