GBAGI, the interpreter/emulator/software that runs your favorite original Sierra games including King's Quest 1-4, Space Quest 1-2, Police Quest, Leisure Suit Larry, Manhunter 1-2, The Black Cauldron, and more on your Nintendo Game Boy Advance has just reached version 2.0! It implements all of the features missing from 1.0, including:
- A virtual keyboard! Now all keys can be pressed, including CTRL, ALT and SHIFT combinations!
- Improved word input! Now ALL words can be entered in the input dialog by selecting the "More >>" button!
- Added a new improved game select screen
- Added diagonal movement
- Improved audio playback accuracy
- Improved the menu system
- Fixed picture rendering, so now "Space Quest 0: Replicated" is fully playable
The diagonal walking makes the gameplay much more smooth! With all of the words now accessible through the input dialog (rather than just unique ones), you'll never again need to try and figure out which synonym to use. The virtual keyboard allows you to press any key you need to, which can be used along with the "R" button, a shortcut to the last key pressed, allowing you to easily repeatedly press a key over and over. It's such an improvement, it's a must have for all Sierra adventure game fans!

Just... Awesome. If someone would put these on a cart and slap a nice glossy label on it I'd buy it. I'm too lazy to do it otherwise :( .

Are you serious? I wasn't aware of this being ported to the DC. Do you have a link?

You can read the whole story on his website and see how they most likely will never officially be released on cart now. Which is also one of the reasons that it is free to download now for all Sierra fans to enjoy. So close yet so far away. Damn Vivendi

Name: FreeSci
Author: Phantom
Description: FreeSCI is an open-source Sierra SCI interpreter that has been around for a while. I should point out that almost all SCI games require a keyboard to play. For information on which SCI games are currently compatible with FreeSCI, check out the FreeSCI website at http://freesci.linuxgames.com
Information: SCI, which Sierra referred to as both the "SCript Interpreter" and the "Sierra Creative Interpreter", is a p-machine style virtual machine for executing platform- independant, object-oriented code. SCI was designed for 16 bit little endian computers, although there were later attempts to create 32 bit versions, LSCI, and SCI32. SCI was exclusively used by Sierra On-Line, Inc., to run its computer game series, with titles like Leisure Suit Larry 2-7, Space Quest 3-6, King's Quest 4-6, Quest for Glory 1-4, and several others.
