I believe it was Will Berdan who predicted at the end of the last auction, that another would appear within the year?
Damn, that was fast.LOL
Difference: This one has a BIN, but above the last one's end..(otherwise I would have bought it)

Well I place my MASSIVE $15.98 bid.

...Damn already outbid.

I knew another would pop up as soon as another owner saw how much it goes for. Just common sense.

Here's the thread over at Atariage:

http://www.atariage.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=58492

It's not for the faint of heart. This game was acually mixed in with a lot of other Atari things with a $100 BIN. :eek 2: God, my head hurts. Why the hell couldn't I have seen this?? The pain, the agony.

Don't be too hard on yourself guys. It's one lone auction in the wild, nothing to call attention to itself, and the cart is a small part of ONE pic. Easy to miss. And the seller did'nt know what he had until someone asked him about the blue cart. :)

When you see that shit, you dont thinking of asking ,"Um will you break up the lot for me i'll give u 50$" You use the BIN.. 100$.. turn around and ebay it for 3500$...

Or brag to everyone on DP you got a 2600 Air raid on ebay for 100$

<SIGH> idiots =C

I was laugh when people say you can't have great "finds" on ebay because you didn't go hunting for it. Heh.

That is fucking priceless. Sumguy spots Air Raid amongst a $100 bundle lot and instead of immediately snapping it up and re-selling for 30x profit, they alert the seller to what it's worth instead.
I can't decide if that's incredible stupidity or unbelieveable honesty. The mind boggles, frankly...

Just figured I would point out to every one this guy is in America NOT Brazil. ;)

Should be a fun one to watch.... the BIN isn't to unreasonable either.

Isn't too unreasonable? Well, it's more than Air Raid has ever been sold for in the past, and around $1000 more than the last one was at before Mayhem & the winning bidder put in huge snipes.
Like everything, it'll suffer diminishing returns, and the last one went for a crazy price because it was the first in years, not because $3000 is the going rate. I'd be surprised if this one went for the BIN, though I guess you never know. $2500 sounds about right.

but yeah, that's what, 7? copies found in the US now, and 0 in Brazil? Are some people still trying to peg it as a South American import?

How exactly do people come to the conclusion that 0 have been found in Brazil? Because there aren't any Brazilians coming over here thousands of miles, speaking a foreign language, to tell us about a 20 year old obscure game? There could well be hundreds or thousands floating around Brazil.

A lack of data never proves nonexistance, it only proves you need more data.

OK, 0 copies are known to have been found in Brazil.
With the numbers of Brazilian carts offered on eBay & owned/sold by Bonnacorsi & co (thousands, easily) it seems feasible that it would have been sighted at some point. Instead, all 7 known copies have surfaced in US thrifts.
How many other Brazilian pirates have you ever seen at a thrift in the US?

I'm not suggesting that is definitely isn't, but I see absolutely no logic in the 'Brazil theory' when not a single copy of the game found so far can be traced to anywhere near Brazil.

I once saw a dark skinned guy with an eyepatch and a parrot in a St Vincent de Paul shop...

The first auction was bid on after about 13 hours, and the auction wasn't cancelled until much later. I would guess that the first bidder had no idea what it was and killed the BIN, so whoever tipped off the seller didn't even see the BIN.

Yeah, I remember that the bidding was up to 300 or 400+ when it was canceled.

I don't feel so bad now that I know it wasn't up for 3 days with a $100 BIN.

OMG...

I would of clicked that BIN as fast as I could... but then again once I placed my bid the seller would find out probobly and say "Oh sorry it was 'broken'"

DANG...
