Okay, I am a newbie to the board and found my way here due to an old friend punkoffgirl.
Okay...with that said I am trying to find out some info on a game I have.
Rival Schools. The Jacket and cover are in english. However the two disc once put into the sys play in either Japanse or Chinese.
Not sure which, but all symbols, naration and even points are other then english. Jus wanted to know if this is a comon game or somthing I should hold onto.
Thanks all.

I believe the regular version of Rival Schools on DC had the option to play in English or Japanese. Even if it's the regular version, it still catches a pretty good price on Ebay.

Now the odd thing is I tried like hell when I first got the game to switch to english, but could not find anywhere where this was an option.
And when I asked around, localy at shops no one had a clue as to what I was talking about.
huh.

All I can think of is Hong Kong or Taiwan bootleg. Especially if one of the languages is Chinese.

It looks authentic to me (I owned a copy of it once but never played it :embarrassed: ).

IIRC the Japan version of this game had extensive mini-game content that was left out of the US release.
That's really strange. My copy looks the same too. In my copy the narration is in Japanese and the text is in English.

I had a copy of street Fighter 2 turbo for SNES that was not translated. I was told it could ave been a pre-release copy given to mags to give it a test run. The cart looked authentic inside and out.
