Was at a pawn shop earlier today and picked this game up. I don't even own a game cube lol. But anyways it was 15 bucks Canadian and I thought I couldnt go wrong. I noticed The Zelda Collectors Edition goes for like 30+ on ebay easy. But after a closer look I noticed this is a "Not For Resale" and the back of the game is different then the ones on ebay. Is this game worth more or less than those other ones? Where did it come from, did it come out with gamecubes at one time? Lol sorry for the retarded question but I know zilch about gamecubes =P.

Any help is appreciated thanks.

Sorry the pic is a lil hard to see.

You got a great deal. Yes it was (still is) packaged with some gamecubes. You could have also gotten it from Nintendo.com if you register enough PINs. Goes for a good price on Ebay.

You may be getting confused with the other Zelda promotional disk that came with Windwalker. That one had Zelda Master Quest and Zelda Occorana of time.

I see french. You must have scored the Canadian version, being in Canada and all. My US version has no French.

I believe all incarnations of the game, no matter how you procured it, say "Not For Resale"

very excellent find om3ga

Came out during Christmas season of 2003, was a free game give away that only had three methods to obtain it

A) Subscribe to Nintendo Power magazine before or after Nov. 18th, 2003

B) Buy the Zelda GameCube bundle which came with the system

or C) register two Nintendo games with special PIN numbers on their site www.nintendo.com (Like Mario and Luigi for GBA and Mario Kart Double Dash!! for Cube)

It's value at the moment is quite unique

the one you have is probably the verison that arrived with the system

Yet in Canada the promo during that time was a bit different..forgot how the rules were for Nintendo of Canada

Well then its either PAL ( I have no idea how PAL gamecube stuff works), or Qubecian(SP?), although I doubt they printing sheets JUST for Quebec, but it could be.

The manual is half french half english.

Whats it worth you think?

I believe the ones on ebay got thier pics from nintendo directly Ive seen some of the collectors edition w/o them too but real copy has it), but I believe the actual games out there all have not for resale either the collectors edition or the orcana of time one.

BTW the orcana of time has the not for resale logo on the back of the cart. The collectors edition has it on the front.

Cool thanks for the info , actually found a copy of this game on ebay , not the Canadian / french version though , and it goes for about 40+.

The only ones I saw without the branding were the ones that used Nintendo's stock marketing photo. By law, they are required to put "Not For Resale" on the case.

I am willing to bet money that you got a french-canadian copy. It's a common practice in Canada. Check the back, if it says something like "For sale only in Canada, America, and Mexico," you've got an NTSC.

I got the same thing when I bought a Gamecube last winter. The game disc is identical to the US version.
