Basically. I got an N64 recently. it was...how do you say...Loved. a lot.

Apprently at some point... some sticky substance..(I can imagine either orange juice...or Furit Jucice... something like that. ) in the on/off switch, and on one of the controllers that came with it.

What can I use to "Unstick" these buttons and switches? I've tried Windex..and while that fixes the problem for 4 hours...the sticky stuff then resets itself...and I need to respray to make it easy to slide again.

How can I physically remove this stuff short of not having to take the system apart to get underneath the switches?

Wait...I found something that works.

I let the Windex Soak over night...instead of wiping it off. Switch works fine now...no stick!

I just hope Windex does'nt ruin or eat through the plastic however...

If you want to premanently solve it, disassembly and hot soapy water is the way.

I hope the MB didn't get too wet. Liquid+electricity=the darnest things.

yes that is correct!

Ive tested many methods of fixing this issues and disassembly and full wash is the best results.
