This is specifically for the winners of the Tribe Island contest we ran in August. Everyone who scored even a single point in that game should have received your first issue of the DP bi-monthly publication, if you have not and you feel that you should have, please e-mail me.

The top five scorers have custom prizes, and the following five have a sort of grab bag of prizes. The packages are now sitting on the loading dock at DP HQ (um, that's the bar area in our game room). They haven't been shipped yet but they'll be en route next week.

Perhaps more importantly we're lining up some new contests for everyone. With the holidays drawing near you can be sure we'll have something fun planned for Halloween to kick it off; we're also planning something for subscribers of the DP WIRE e-mail publication. Details will be posted on the forums here over the next week or so.

Remember, the DP Prize Patrol Van stops at every thrift store, yard sale, and strip club it encounters on the way from us to you.... a proud tradition of roundaboutness that appears will continue straight thru 2004. So to those of you who have won before and those who will win in the months ahead... Thanks in advance for your patience!

I finally got mine today!

Tis what happens when you live in the middle of the back woods in West Virginia!

Anyway, such a cool package of stuff. I cannot thank you enough for being that generous, especially considering the fact that I was in 10th place.

But the single coolest thing was the minty fresh copy of Pilotwings for SNES - the one game that I've lost in 10+ years of gaming! I still have my original box and everything, and I've kept it, waiting for that game to pop back up.

How cool is that?

Maybe it's because you joined the contest after it ENDED.

I had notifications sent to me every time someone joined, and checked the user gorup every day during the contest. You're the only person who's had any issue with this. There will be other contests to enter, like the DP WIRE or the pumpkin carving... but I'd urge you to read the rules becore complaining about the contest.

[see first post for details]

UPDATE. We got a new set of wheels on the DP Prize Patrol Van and it's finally en route to our winners of the eBay Insanity Contest. Yeah, yeah, I know. These prizes should have gone out weeks ago but honestly, the van broke down. And I mean that in the most symbolic sense of the saying.

The prizes are a hodgepodge of various stuff. I grabbed four big boxes and proceeded to fill them, Pinata-style, until they were full. I think the winners will really dig the random nature of the goods!

Next up is the Mappy Sing-a-long contest winners. Fortunately for you folks the bulk of your prizes are being shipped by Yuppicide Prizes, Inc. and they have a much faster fleet than we do. Plus they're not as taken in by things like strip clubs and thrift stores as we are.

Once again, thanks for playing, participating, and WAITING patiently! As soon as the truck gets back we'll start up a new contest, beginning the cycle anew.
