I got Alucard and all of the familiars to 99 in Castlevania: SOTN on both the Playstation and the Saturn versions.

Favorite game. Best play control ever.

I also put in enough time to max out all of my weapons in Radiant Silvergun.

i don't think i ever played a rpg long enough to have a high ranked anything. i cheated and got 6 lvl 99 pokemon in pokemon blue. man, pokemon stadium was super easy to beat that way

I had a party in Final Fantasy Legend III at average around level 50 and then hit this annoying stretch before the end where I was not powerful enough to beat the final boss, but at the same time I was too powerful for random encounters to be any kind of challenge. Levelling up on my own would have taken hours of tedious play. So I popped in the ol` Game Genie and entered the "Level up after each encounter" code. Raised `em all to about level 75 before going to the final battle.

It was only to expedite things but still I'm a little :embarrassed: .

You got 110 levels to go. o_O I wouldn't exactly call that close to the max.

I got everybody up to 255 in Star Ocean 2. I got all 6 of my party members to 255 in Star Ocean 3 (I've yet to replay to use Souffle or Arbel, and haven't played the Director's Cut in order to use Mirage and Adrai yet). In the first Star Ocean, I'm up to around 215 which is easily more impressive than my levels in the other Star Ocean games despite the fact that it isn't the max for Star Ocean. Just reaching 100 in that game is a royal pain in the ass, but 150 or 200? That's frickin' dedication. o_O

As for "non-Star Ocean" stuff, I got everyone to 99 in Final Fantasy 7 (don't ask; yes, I'm honest when I say I don't like the game much). I also got everyone up to 99 in Lunar: SSSC (again, don't ask). I got to the max level (99?) in Castlevania: Circle of the Moon (and I have 99 of a shitload of different items...). I think I got very close to the maximum level for all my characters in Lufia 2, but that sort of happens naturally.

I'm sure there are many other RPGs where I've done ridiculous excessive leveling, but I'm starting to draw a blank. O_o

Hmm...I don't think I've ever cared enough to max level anything. I maxed out one of my Opa Opas (whatever the hell they're called) in PSO and had another on the way, but that's of pretty limited utility after the first time you know :P

I spent over 300 hrs playing star ocean 2 in one month? Played thru it 3 times...first time was to beat the game....second time was cause i found out there was a secret dungeon......last time was because i found out HOW to get the secret dungeon......
needless to say i had to get another PS1......i.....im also not sure what a life is.....is it anything like the board game? or is it more like the ceriel? maybe the mag?

About 5 years ago when I was playing through Final Fantasy III on SNES, I maxed out every character. I wouldn't let myself battle Kefka until EVERY character was maxed out. I even spent hours on the Veldt making sure Gau acquired the abilies of every enemy there. That's the only game where I've ever done that, though.

Did you learn ultima? Anyways, I have gotten everyone to level 99 (or other wise max levels) in multiable games. Thinking off this reminds me of the time i lent out my copy of chrono trigger with max stats to a friend. Only to have he's Brothers girlfriend clear all the memory. :angry: :( ... LOL

My most broken party in my RPG collection ever is Breath of Fire 1. My end game save data is still around. Been in my cartridge since 1997.

Got all of Ryu's dragon forms, Bo's fusions, Nina's WM, Bleu's BM, Karn's shapes, 999999 GP.

I spent all afternoon killing slimes and the gold slimes on that small island that's just over the tower where you get the key to activate the Stone Robot earlier in the game. The big gold slimes are worth 9999 in both EXP and Gold, so most of the time you could gain 3 or 4 levels in a single battle! Problem is, the gold slimes appear only when they feel like it, so be patient.

Level 2795 in Disgaea with Laharl. It was too awful. I remember back when I was level 200 and I fought the final boss and back THEN there was nothing they could do. God they died so fucking horribly. It was just solo laharl forever. Then I started unlocking the extra plains and going after really high level stuff and realized....why the hell am I doing this? And quit.

I suppose it would have to be Jegari who was level 133 in Earth & Beyond when I quit the game. That game had so much wasted potential.

I know I jacked up my Bard's Tale characters but not that much if you count the raw "level" number.
