Redesigning my HomePage (Room of Doom Page)

I am in the process right now as I type of redesigning the webpage for my room of doom.

I am doing something new that I haven't seen before, so I think it will be cool. The page will stay how it is now probably until sometime later this weekend.

Here is what I am going to do:
Everything will be image mapped instead of shrunk-down pics. I will have a layout made in paint that will show a top down view of my room (I am going to be taking pics of the rest of my room to help the site).

When you click on a certain part of my room, you will be taken to a page that shows you a picture of that part of my room (it is a picture I have already taken). I took some pictures that were closer up of many of the parts, so you can click on the big picture to look closer at a certain part of my room.

There will be some parts that will be all layout and no pics until you pic exactly what you want to look at (like my closet, it was impossible for me to get pics from a distance besides the entrance). Some parts will look like blue prints, and other parts will be the actual pictures. It will be like a virtual blueprint using only html to look at my room of doom.

i think thats a pretty good idea....

i guess it all depends on the final outcome....make sure to let us know when its done, then ill give you a better critique of your new site

I am a pretty descent html designer, and want something that I have never seen before. Since I am at school right now, for some reason, the university sucks and doesn't allow downloads from the internet, which means I have to wait until I get home to use my image mapper.

I actually just got done drawing out the design, now all I have to do is wait until after class to implement it (hopefully I can get done by tomorrow before I goto work).

I wish I could scan my design I did on paper and show you guys, there are arrows everywhere. I have honestly never done this before, so your guess is as good mine with how it will look. I think it is a cool idea that hasn't been done before (well in this forum, because I haven't seen it). It could backfire and it will be horrible, but the only way to find out is for me to do it.

I will post my progress and/or when its done for you guys to give me better feedback. Please don't just tell me it looks godd to be nice, if the setup looks bad, please tell me.
