Being that multi-player gaming (and gaming in general) is becoming more mainstream, I thought it would be interesting to see what people's morals are with regard to gaming (casual and as a hobby) and persuiing their gaming interests.
So..
1. You're in a store and see a game which you've wanted / been looking for, but there is only one copy left and you notice a young kid exitedly telling their parent that the store has the game that s/he really wants, do you?
A. Quickly take the copy and buy it.
B. Leave the game for the kid.
C. Other (please state).
2. Same as above, but you only have a casual interest in the game.
A. Quickly take the copy and buy it.
B. Leave the game for the kid.
C. Other (please state).
3. In conversation a friend informs you that the previous day they saw a single copy of a game which you've both been eagerly searching for (you want it bad) in a store nearby, but because they didn't have enough money when they saw it and were planning on going back to get it the next day, however you realise that you will have the opportunity to get to the game before them, do you..
A. Get to the store before them, buy the game and keep it a secret from them
B. Get to the store before them, buy the game and be honest about getting it
C. Leave the game for your friend and hope to find it elsewhere
D. Lie. Attempt to persuade the friend that the game isn't very good and buy the game once you feel they won't want to.
E. Other (please state).
4. Forgetting that you had arranged to go out / do something with your friend, s/he comes round when you're in the middle of a game and have reached a crucial point. Turning off the console would mean losing your progress (of which it was a personal feat to reach the point you're at) and you can't leave the game running. You know you won't be able to quit for quite a while. do you..
A. Apologise and tell them that whatever you were going to do is off and they should go.
B. Make them wait while you finish the game.
C. Quit the game and keep to what you had arranged.
D. Other (please state)
5. You're playing co-op Multi-player with a friend, they're crap and die half way into the game, however you are doing fine and can continue playing which you are very into at the time. You could continue playing through the game which you are enjoying but they are unable to rejoin. Do you..
A. Quit the game and play another with your friend.
B. Continue playing while your friend must sit and watch
C. Other (please state)
6. Playing muliplayer with friends one night, you notice that one is being particularily rough with your gamepad as the game gets more frantic. The gaming continues and everyone get worked up and abosobed in playing the game, until at the end of the night, after the games are finished you notice that one of your pads is damaged / broken. Do you..
A. Confront your friend and demand they replace the damaged / broken pad
B. Let it go.
C. Other (please state)
7. You're playing multi-player with some friends and you're completely on form, you've won every game so far and are revelling in your seemingly god-like gaming prowess, but your friends aren't taking it well. Do you..
A. Play on as usual.
B. Up the gloating and add a few sissy remarks for good measure.
C. Relenquish your unbeaten streak and lose a couple of games to even things up.
D. relish your victory and call some MAMBO TIME!!
E. Other (please state).

1. depends on the game and its rarity.
2. B
3. E. go and pick up the game for the friend (hey, he found it), hoping that he'll let me play it first or at least pay me back the next time I see him.
4. B, since usually anything I do involves having the friend over for a day, so there will be planty of time.
5. B, though most multiplayer coop games have a method of the second person rejoining.
6. A, but I would have told him/her to be more gentle first
7. E, I would adjust the difficulty if possible. If it wasn't I would ease up a bit, but I wouldn't outright lose.

For question 1 and 2, you didn't say whether the game is a current one or not. Like is there a chance that they'll restock it really soon (i.e. Metroid Prime). Then yes, let him take it because I'm in no rush. Or is it something that you'll not likely see again (like Radiant Silvergun in the used section priced at $19.99). Then no. I'd take that.
So it all depends...

1. A
2. C- the kid is not my concern. I'd take it if it's the last copy of the game but put it back if I change my mind.

4. B- but it depends on who it is.

6. B- I'd sure as hell tell them about it and make sure they know I replaced it. They would cough up the money.

@NE146: Picky, picky, picky >:(
Couldn't you just have done what Kess did for his Q6?. Nontheless it's a fair point to make so feel free to answer it for both if you like. Although with regard to it being a new, the general concept was that the game was in short supply and you wouldn't be able to get another too soon.
Athough on an unrelated note, that festive variation of your avatar is great LOL

1. A. If I want it and get there first tough luck - I don't care *who* you are.
2. B. If it's only a casual interest then I'm probably not there to buy it anyway.
3. C. If he/she found it first - it's theirs.
4. A. If I felt getting back to this point would take forever again.
4. C. If I felt that, even though it was a feat to get here, I could do it again knowing what I now know.
Most likely C though.
5. A. I wouldn't have many friends play games with me if they always ended up watching me. :)
6. C. I'd definitely comment on it during the game and afterwards but I wouldn't demand anything gets replaced. If I didn't think they'd change I just wouldn't invite them to play games again.
7. E. In these cases I usually alter my game plan to be more risk taking - which allows others to catch up and gives me the opportunity to experiment. But I don't give up or lose on purpose or anything - that's lame.

A....I wanted the game bad too, and I'll be egotistical and say I'd enjoy it more than the young kid.
B.....I'mnot THAT interested, so I'll let the kid take it home...I'll find it later
E......I'd go buy it and tell my friend that if I hadn't , some stranger would have gotten our game.
B...Make them wait, but not really, most of my friends are gamers and would understand.
A...I'd quit cause I wanted to play co-op, not single player....Plus I'd already know I can beat it by myself.
C....I'd confront them on being rough on my stuff, but I wouldn't demand they replace it.
E.... I'd be like ...we can play another game if you want..I know it can't be fun getting whipped on.

B - They can wait a bit, I don't have any friends anyways
B - They made it halfway, better luck next time
C - Oh well, but you're never touching my stuff again unless you replace it
D - End the game as supreme ruler of gaming for the night, rub it in their face, but don't make them keep playing :)

1. C.
Depends on if this is a new game that's still in distribution or an old game. Also depends on who was there first and if my specific intent for going to the store was to get that game.
2. B.
No point in taking it away from someone who REALLY wants it.
3. E.
If he found it first, it's as good as his. I'd likely give him the money to go get it right then, as long as he reimbursed me (I wanna see it as bad as they do). I'd hope he'd dedicate time to helping me find a copy as well.
4. A.
I'd apologize for being so absent-minded, but I'd have to reschedule because my mind would be on the game the rest of the night.
5. B/C.
If I was on my last life (or were close to beating it) and we were playing to the end, I would just play it out. I'd expect the same out of them.
6. A/C.
I would just ask them to go in half with me for another one. I understand games get frantic sometimes, so it's no big deal, but I do expect them to respect my stuff and have the decency to own up to it.
7. A/E.
The people I play against are very aware that I will give it 100% every time, and I expect the same out of them. I'm not an aggressive or taunting player, so it's not like I'm just trying to beat them down anyway. I may suggest a different game, one that's not so competitive. I'm more interested in everyone having fun, not just winning...and it's not fun if it's completely one-sided.

1. You're in a store and see a game which you've wanted / been looking for, but there is only one copy left and you notice a young kid exitedly telling their parent that the store has the game that s/he really wants, do you?
A. Quickly take the copy and buy it. (In the world of gaming, if you're slow, you're lost, buddy)
2. Same as above, but you only have a casual interest in the game.
C. Other (take the copy and walk around with it until i decide which way to go).

You know you won't be able to quit for quite a while. do you..
C. Quit the game and keep to what you had arranged (a real gamer can make it back to that point...ppl are more important than a game).
5. You're playing co-op Multi-player with a friend, they're crap and die half way into the game, however you are doing fine and can continue playing which you are very into at the time. You could continue playing through the game which you are enjoying but they are unable to rejoin. Do you..
A. Quit the game and play another with your friend (the right thing to do. Multiplayer should be 2P, not 1P and a buddy watching).
6. Playing muliplayer with friends one night, you notice that one is being particularily rough with your gamepad as the game gets more frantic. The gaming continues and everyone get worked up and abosobed in playing the game, until at the end of the night, after the games are finished you notice that one of your pads is damaged / broken. Do you..
A. Confront your friend and demand they replace the damaged / broken pad (no question here)
7. You're playing multi-player with some friends and you're completely on form, you've won every game so far and are revelling in your seemingly god-like gaming prowess, but your friends aren't taking it well. Do you..
E. Other (I retire from the game by making a food run).
